Quit August 25, 2008 at 9:30 am. Two weeks and some hours anniversary lol. I tried a real cig a couple days ago after i read alot of people tried after being on e cigs and hated it. Well so did I. It tasted so bad and made me feel real sick. I tossed it before i was at half. My previous record was 3 days. Gave up because i could not sleep. IM glad i have my e cigs now. Feel alot better too!

I stopped using tobacco products on the 18th August 2008.
I started with a super mini and now also have a classic and a mini.
I was a 30 a day smoker for over 40 years.
I tried everything from patches to inhalers with little success.
I hope the inventors of this product make many millions of dollars/yen/pounds
cos they surely have saved my life.
My doc is very impressed with the improvement in my lung function.
He told me for years 'you will find a way....there's a way for everyone'
I'm very impressed with the lack of withdrawal symptoms.
Here's to a healthier future for you all.

Today is my 75th day of no cigarettes.

(I smoked 30 a day for 29 years, couldn't even go a single day without 'em.)

I think justgimmethefaxmaam (man whatta user-name!) hit the nail on the head; my whole way of life has improved in ways I didn't even think possible at this point. I feel like a teenager again.

(And all I wanted to do was cut back on smoking when I found these contraptions!)

Hi all,

I'd love to be able to tell you when I quit the tobacco, but I honestly don't know !

I was introduced to the e-cigarette back in February and only smoked two tobacco ciggies a day since then.

I never really had the intention of using the e-ciggie to actually quit tobacco altogether, just perhaps smoke less of it and be able to smoke where-ever the ban is in place.

One evening sometime in May, I finished a pack, crunched it up and chucked it (as you do ;)), and just simply couldn't be bothered to open a new one the next day ! Before I knew what was going on, I realised I hadn't smoked tobacco in days and had apparently kicked the habit without even thinking about it !

I wasn't even aware that one would be my last tobacco ciggie, it just happened, unbelievably amazing :thumb: !

I  e-smoking and don't miss tobacco at all* !

So, I guess my 'quitting tobacco anniversary' is.... sometime in May '08.

Cheers,
Silver

*Ofcourse I'm totally addicted to the e-ciggie, permanent fixture between my lips these days  ...

Smoked my last roll up 13 days ago and never looked back. Puffing more occasionally with the e-cig but so far much more success than using gum or patches. Even when having a beer the craving hasn`t been there which is usually the killer for me. My chest feels alot better but getting the sweats at night , probably down to not inhaling all those chemicals present in real fags. :D

probably to much nicotine,

I hear that , just finding it hard to regulate at the moment. I`ve already ordered the lower dose nic carts so fingers crossed. Figured that it I was smoking `fatty` roll-ups the higher dose would be the ones to go for ;)
I have a habit of diving in head strong only for it to bite me on the ...!! :D

i suggest not lowering the cart intake but raising it..puffalot i was in the same situation..when i first started..dropping the nic level made me puff even more..i suggest you try some 36mg...after 10 puffs your done.. you dont feel like any more..where with the carts they take a lot to satisfy your cravings hence why you end up puffing all day... and because of its slow release end up feeling a bit ruff..just my thoughts on the matter.
