I found that you can get e-cig kits direct from china for as little as 12 to 15 pounds each when buying in bulk. So if members get together and put their money in the pot and a long time trusted member used these funds to buy some e-cig kits direct from china for members who paid in for one, we could save £ big time. People power :) What do you think?

Big savings can be made, but if you search you will find a few stories where people have lost a £200 order in customs which many just can't afford. Even suppliers are having this problem more and more. Also, for people to club together means a lot of admin, gathering the money (which is the hard bit), and organizing the distribution later.

If a couple of people get together and can afford to lose their money its a great idea, but I like it that my suppliers take the risks :D

Yeah buying from China is okay, I've ordered some parts (not juice - don't want the potential customs hassle) and they came through no problem. Might even do it again should I feel the need to stock up on atomisers for example because they have a nasty habit of suddenly being out of stock everywhere in the UK at the same time.

But, on the other hand, for small orders (and juice), the cost is not really so much - compared to cigarettes it's practically nothing - so why bother with the risk? 2 bottles, 2 atomisers, 1 battery and some blank carts comes to, what, £60-£70 per month, it's not so much in comparative terms.

Whats the risk? I order almost everything I buy from china since most of the stuff is from the same factorys just branded (not talking about just ecigs).

I have ordered kits, parts and juice from china had no problem. The only thing I buy now from the UK is juice since I do like the taste of TW :)

In my limited experience the risk is minimal admittedly.

Indeed, in terms of delivery an order actually came faster than a one from Intellicig in the UK and I've had no customs issues whatsoever.

However, everything over about £15 is subject to VAT (theoretically) so the risk of a VAT charge (plus a VAT handling charge by the courier) has to be considered on top of any nominal savings.

I don't know if there are any restrictions or licences needed for importing liquid nicotine. Maybe it's just like any other item (VAT liable and nothing more), I really have no idea.

As I said, if I were ordering, say 10 atomisers and/or batteries then I guess it's worth it (to me). Would I want to go to the hassle of a bulk order with a heap of people and trying to sort out money and forward posting and then dealing with DOAs etc.? No way.

Each to their own though...

Bulk orders would carry a greater risk.

However, I order things like batteries from China, and of all things, customs are holding onto a charger bought for my camera...

So it does happen, and we have to accept the risk is there.

As it happens it doesn't matter about the charger, they will clear it some point, and no one but me is waiting for it...although its been 5 weeks now..

The biggest orders i've placed from china so far were 100 pounds, 200 usd, 230 usd, haven't had any problems so far, But the one with loads of liquid in it was held up in customs for a few days. I think maybe if a couple of people teamed up placed a order for a couple 100 quid that would be grand. But i think larger orders would carry more risk, and like frog said its waaay more hassle gathering the money then its worth, and then you'd (who ever gets the delivery )have to post everything out individually and knowing what the service is like from the postal service around here, a few of those orders are bound to get lost.

Well according to the latest FDA news there could be anything in any liquid, not dis-respecting any-ones liquid but who knows? I've only ever seen TW with a full list of ingredients.

Yea but at the end of the day, I seriously doubt there could be anything in e-liquid thats as bad as the chemicals used in analogs. So i'll take my chances :D

The chinese suppliers will also publish a list of ingredients if you ask them, or it may be published on their website. So does TW make their own or something?

Quite a few sellers juice have their ingredients on them. I buy from TW and liberty-flights (gonna start calling them lf soon, lol) and they both do. TW come in glass bottles which I really like but their dropper is the size of an overweight cow. LF's are plastic. If you read around, virtually all the juice comes from China (lol like ecopure but that's another rumour) but they will flavour them to what you specify. There's a lot of good juice out there, it's just a shame TW don't do samples as £19.99 is an investment.

They going to start doing samples :) 5ml and 10ml Wicked Fluids on the way. £3.99 and £6.99!

I like TW juice and this is the only stuff I usually vape 24/7, but as you say £20 a lot to lay out to find you don`t like a particular flavour!

No idea when this will be though? Hopefully soon!
