OK, so I'm looking to mix for the first time. I'm only a menthol vapor and could use some help. I'm looking to buy unflavored nicotine liquid base from MFS. They sell 1 liter 24mg, I vape at 6mg. So I'm looking to buy a liter of 24mg and break it down a couple times. Do I use the VG base to break it down ? Then add the menthol drops/crystals ? I've been looking for a simple guide to do this , I'm not having any luck with it. I want a small hit of menthol, nothing overpowering. Any help or even a simple guide would be great. Thanks in advanced.

Look on Amazon for menthol crystals. I buy 4oz at a time, but mix a lot of menthol with high potency for my parents.
The beginning formula to create 10% menthol flavoring is:
1/4tsp crushed menthol crystals
10ml unflavored PG
It helps to warm the PG. Use this at whatever percentage suits your taste. DO NOT VAPE THIS!! Use only as flavoring as a percentage of you e-liquid.
As far as diluting the nic base, yes, you can dilute with VG, PG or any ratio of them both to suit your needs for flavor and vapor production.
It is recommended to use an e-liquid calculator. I use a simple one on Android from Totally Wicked. There are others that many members swear by, also.
Start with your calculator and experiment by entering values you wish to acheive with your liquid. Start low percentage flavoring and add more as you like. Fortunately, with menthol, it just gets more and more powerful, unlike some flavors that will just taste awful if you go too heavy.

Thank you very much. I will be giving this a shot, I just hope it turns out right.. LOL
It's hard to mess up, unless you go too heavy on the menthol lol. Be sure to crush the crystals to a fine powder. If you don't have a mortar and pestle, you can put a small amount of crystals in a teaspoon and use another spoon on top, smushing the crystals in between. Another techniques is to put the crystals on a small plate, cover with a clean piece of paper, and running the edge of a credit card over it until the crystals crumble underneath.
If I buy a 24mg 500ml bottle of nic and my mix of pg/vg and flavorings is also 500ml and I mix the two, it will cut the 24MG's in half ?

If you have a decent scale you can weigh the Menthol crystals and add one gram per 10 ml PG or PGA to make your menthol solution...just warm the capped bottle of solution under tap water and shake the warmed liquid to dissolve the crystals (no need to crush this way)

OK, so I received my DIY kit along with a few other things I ordered. I made my first 30ml of liquid and have to say it turned out great. I went with 8% flavoring, 70vg/30pg.
You say the flavoring will get stronger in a few days ? I may take it down a notch if that's the case. As of right now I'm really liking the way it is..
Yes, in my experience, as it blends (some call it steeping) it gets a little more robust. I usually warm my mixes under hot tap water and shake to help speed up this process. Heating the mix thins the VG helping it to blend quicker.
I'd say keep it the way it is...you can always add a little unflavored mix to it if you need to cut it back a bit.

I vape menthol only for 1.5 year. I am new in DIY. I found that I like the mix of menthol with mint flavor. You can try if you not yet try it, maybe you like it.

I'm not fond of mints as standalones, they have to be mixed with a mild tobacco to get their full potential. I mix 1.5% LA creame du menthe or my FW spearmint with a 6% HS desert ship or highway and thats a good vape. I smoked menthol ciggys for years, got tired of the menthol so I make my mints without the menthol.
