I have had a cold, and the pollen is killing me, but I could taste til a few days ago. Now I can't taste any of my juice (or much of anything). I have been reading and looking for ideas. I do drink volumes of water, with lemon, with electrolytes. Read several threads that suggest to try a menthol for "vapor tongue". I never "smoked" menthol so never thought about purchasing a menthol juice.

Any suggestions? Not necessarily tobacco, a good peppermint? spearmint? Not asking for a specific vendor, just do you think that might be an option? Ice???? I do have a peach juice that is so strong I did not care for it. Now I love it cuz I can get a hint of flavor.

I am pretty sure my main problem is a sinus infection that I will take care of, but perhaps it would be good to add a minty? menthol? to my juice collection for those times when a good sinus opening would be nice...

Any and all suggestions, information, experience, expertise is greatly appreciated.

Hey there! Hope you feel better soon! I had a cold a couple of weeks ago & couldn't take anything & it was suggested that I vape menthol...I'd smoked menthols but hadn't vaped any since my first week or 2 into vaping. I couldn't taste it but somehow it did feel like it was soothing. It was a Ice type flavor. I hear mt bakers is good right out of the mail & they ship really fast! Go for it! Or vape the stuff you really don't care for all that much! I'd hate to waste my favorite juice when I can't taste it! Feel better soon!

This might sound weird, but I had a bad head cold a couple of months ago and also couldn't taste anything. I had a sampler of Johnson Creeks Marcado (Clove type cigarette) and decided WTH. I'm not really a Clove cigarette fan at all, but I was either desperate or delirious at the time. Five minutes later I was breathing like a champ. I can't say if it was the cloves or the cinnamon, but it worked great. Now I use it whenever I get a cold (which is pretty rare). I'm sure that most e-juice suppliers must have some type of a Clove cigarette variation, so it may be worth a shot.

If its anything like my issue then many things will feel like they worked just a little but won't really do anything. You could try switching flavors every time you vape during a day, dry mouth mouthwash, tongue scrapers, insanely strong mints, hot sauce directly in tongue, echinacea or ground ginger to get you drooling, unflavored nic juice for a week.

I'm at the three month mark with vapers tongue and all of those things did a tiny something for like one day and went away. What I've been advised to do is just switch to something I can taste and wait it out. The only thing I know I'll taste Is mint.

Thanks everyone. I am going to look into an ice flavor and/or clove for times like this. Until I get some, I am going to use some of the juice I have that seemed weak flavored from the start or are not my favorite saving my yummies for when things get better.

And one of my vaping mottos, Water, don't leave home without it!

I keep some straight peppermint vape around for times when I have a cold. Cinnamon or clove flavor seem to stay in an atty permanently. Peppermint seems to fade away once I use something else. I also really enjoy chocolate or mocha/mint, mojito (lime and mint), and candy cane flavors. Hope you find something that works!

I cant taste anything either when my sinuses get wonky. My bf vapes Halo menthol ice (I think thats what its called) and its a strong minty menthol. I dont really care for it much, but it might work.

I use moments when my taste buds are wonky to use the juice I didnt care for much (mostly all the tobaccos I bought when I thought I wanted 'that' taste)
