My Janty Stick arrived today. I have reviewed the manual instructions several times and think I've followed everything correctly. I get the blue light (which turns red after 6 seconds). I've inserted a cart into the atomizer and screwed the atomizer into the stick. No vapor comes out when I press the button and suck. I have it plugged into my lap top here (red light is on like it is charging). Do I need to wait for it to charge for a while? What else can I be doing wrong? Thanks!

Did you resolve your problem? There are many similar posts in this subforum, most of which were solved by screwing in the atomizer (without the cart) in much more forcefully than you think you should. Just a quirk with the (new) stick.
Getting a buzz, or not.. Staying off tobacco or not.. The entire reason I began to vape was the cost of ciggys... Even buying them online for many years, I thought that vaping would give me the feeling and actions of smoking, but less cost.. At this point, I don't think I've saved a dime.. *LOL*
You don't need pliers. Just put one of those white rubber caps that came with the carts over the end of the atty and screw it in snug, not real tight. Do the same thing when taking the atty out. I just carry one of those little white caps around with me. I had the same problem the first day I got my stick. Glad thre was an easy solution. 
It would be great to hear that Janty is working on the Janty Stick for improvements, so far the Baby J or the eGo are the new devices but they should stick with the Janty Stick concept cause it's the all-in-one-device one.
The JS is not going away - believe me - we will "soon" ( as in soon = i cant say when but not december ) come out with a JS v3 that has some major improvements - and hopefully also in early 2010, we will work on the Jantystick XL which will either be multivoltage, or highvoltage in a new design, but utilizing the same ideas and space basically.
Oh and - for the "burnt taste" i read so much about : people in general need to learn to wash their atomizers once in a while, this is whats wrong 98% of the time - its good practice, but it seems everyone forgets it
IMO, you can't go too far wrong using the Janty classic atty's (either with or without the warranty), assuming they're available. Personally, I've also been having very good luck with the TW atty's, the bulk packs (5 at a time), a little cheaper.

I've read about a 401 adapter but haven't seen a picture of one - could you put one up?
I've also read about the 901 adapter being basically a sleeve that the 901 atomizer drops into and screws in?
Would an adapter for the 901 that doesn't involve double-tubing be in the works? (a long tube that goes to the top of the ionizing chamber, with threads on top then for mounting the 901?)
I really don't mind a 901 atomizer sticking further away from the body than just the tip.

No. The JS V3 will be using the same batteries, but will have a completely new button and a bit of a redesign internally and externally - you will see - its very nice!
The JS XL, however we have some different ideas on, one of them is to be able to use either a 14500 or 2x 3 volt batteries - but nothing is set in stone yet - except for the fact that the JS XL will be a different "beast". Also im working on a design for the JS XL that will make it easy for people to take apart and clean!

I am getting no heat to the atty, none of the usual gurgle of juice or hissing.
Just dead.
I have enjoyed this Stick, learning curve and all for about three months. Enjoyed until the last three weeks, that is. No stick, no fun.
BTW, how many of you have tried the M201 atty's? Nice, huh.

Sounds like you need to screw the atomizer more in - even if you think its in, its probably not!
