The batteries that come with the JS has to be charged a few times to get kicking - also, they are low quality, cheap, batteries so you could have gotten a bad one. If you have another, try to charge that and see if its any better.

I do believe the most hardcore vapers get 3 hours + on the JS - moderate vapers usually go 6+ on it so..30 puffs sounds wrong =D

I don't know if you guys understand those batteries. Those were marked WRONG. They ARE 360mah NOT 600mah. The manufaturer had marked them with the wrong mah on the batteries.
How do I know? I bought the same ones (with them saying 600mah) and was told they were marked wrong from where I bought them.
I got these batts when I got my Spade from Vapor Talk Store, just ask Chris there

From the moment I got my Ego, I could not really use the atty it came with. I think I got a really bum atty. I have tried and tried using it on other devices and the Ego and it just does not perform at all. It's like a dud. My question is: Is the warranty that covers them just for dead cold attys or if we are very unhappy with a dud underperforming atty that basically isn't usable?

Hi,
You get a six (6) month warranty on the attys ONLY if it say's JANTY on the Gold band. If it say's TAWA, there is NO warranty. There is a 3 month warranty on the batteries.

It takes a while for 510 attys to start to kick in. Takes roughly about 2 days, but if you aren't getting anything at all, make a ticket to the site you got it (in this case usajanty, right?) then tell them what is going on. They will let you know what to do.

First off, I love both the eGo and the Stick. Also, I'm not blaming anyone but myself.

I have a bad habit of keeping my eGo in my pocket. Recently, my eGo went off in my front pocket as I felt massive heat coming from it. I quickly took it out. When I looked at it, the button was stuck and I couldn't turn it off. I had to drop it as the whole unit got hot to the touch and I couldn't hold it long enough to physically remove the atomizer. I used a shirt lying around to unscrew the atty but it was too late, the button had completely melted into the unit.

This is a burn hazard. What if I had been sleeping? Looking at the damage caused on the mouthpiece which was turned to goo, my sex like may like may not be the same if it had :p

The sucker gets pretty hot and I've seen the button stick even before the incident. I'd like to see some sort of 'safety' switch on the battery to prevent situations such as this from sending their users to the emergency room.

On a side note... Does the warrenty cover user stupidity? :p

Lucky--Put in a ticket for a return under warranty. I returned an underperforming atty once before, and Ethan replaced it quickly with no muss, no fuss.

Hey

Well, first of all im sorry to hear about your experience.

I am afraid due to the nature of the small design on the eGo it is hard to implement a physical on/off switch.

As someone told you, you should have sent it in for replacement the second you saw any kind of failure. I mean, and this is not an attempt at saying you are anything, if you see it fail once, then dont put it in your pocket or any other place where you "trust it".

You wouldnt do this with a lighter you saw leaking - so the same logic applies to batteries.

And as for your "what if i had been sleeping", - well if you were sleeping with it in your pocket, you would be to blame to be honest; and if it was on a desk stand then 1) it would be impossible for it to be activated or 2) you would have unscrewed the atomizer overnight as per recommendation ;)

So - to sum up: I am sorry about what happened, and will discuss this with the others, but at the same time i feel that this is your own fault since you saw a failure and ignored it / kept on using the device.

I apologize in advance if you feel im "attacking" you in anyway, but i think its important to clarify whats a user problem, and whats a factory problem/device problem, to other users reading the thread - i hope you understand that.

As for your warranty - you just contact your shop, all of this is fully covered. You are dealing with Janty remember ;)

Hey all, I made it back from my vacation! I'm a bit bruised up but in one piece. During my trip to Colorado the mountain I was skiing got between 4-5 FEET of fresh snow (for all you ski junkies, you know that is a ton!). Anyhow, I'm currently working on getting caught up on all of the emails and help desk tickets (which will take me some time). So please be patient with me! If you sent an email to my account Ethan@Jantyusa.com, Jeff didn't get it as his computer does not receive those emails, so I will get back to you as quickly as I can. I apologize for any delay or inconvenience this may have caused.

Back to the grind!

Ethan:p
