I've got 2 open tickets going and all of my hardware (4 JS, and 2 Dura-C with extended batts, 510 adaptor, all the frills) as well as my carts/liquids have come from JantyUSA. I pay the premium for the attys and trust Jeff and Ethan because they have earned it. That being said...

Since my 1st purchase on April 29th of 2009, I've invested about $1,680 into my orders with Janty. Thats an average of $280 an month in the last 6 months. (I know I love to spend money on my new hobby). I placed an additional order today because I trust these "bugs" will be worked out.

I would hate to take my business elsewhere because A) I wouldn't know what other companies are as trustworthy, and B) Janty's warranty. I don't mind paying for quality as long as I can trust that a company will, for lack of a better term, bend over backwards to make me "whole". Value for value.

On a personal note:
Does anyone think spending $280 a month is TOO much? Yes it is more than my ciggies cost... but I'm having way more fun!:D

Strange, I've experienced just the opposite. I opened a ticket for a sticky switch on my JS, I received a reply from Ethan less than 20 minutes later. About four days after that my new stick body arrived in the mail. This has all been in the last couple of weeks...

That's support...that's Janty....that's ETHAN!!!!!

The JantyUSA shop JUST got classic TAWA attys - 28 of them and only in the black matt. Many folks are still trying to order their first JStick.

So something's up with the main route(s) for new product.

I doubt support will ever suffer any kind of down time - Ethan would never let it happen, otherwise, he'd have to sit next to Mik :D

Hi Steve, everytime I go to the Janty site I get a blocked content alert and have to give permission on the security bar of Explorer 8. Further, I have to sign in twice because my 1st attempt gives me a message that my session had expired. If I clean my cache and cookies (as per Mik) to avoid double sign in...my log in is not recognized and I am directed to create an account.

Bugs, bugs, everywhere and we are in need of a good pesticide! lol :)

No qualms about their customer service at all, and I certainly do pass kudos to Ethan for that.

Stick V1 didn't cut it, and they salvaged the whole thing and kept momentum with Stick V2. Personally, I think the stick is, so far, the only product that set's janty off from any other e-cig retailer (well, that and their customer service/warranty- again, excellent)

The failure of the 510 adaptors was a big letdown too; that'll take a save effort by Janty.

Not having things we have been looking forward to, supplier problems, and so many other alternatives is kinda dulling the lustre on my fanboy status. Nice folks, good service, it's just..... well, let me put it like this, we're ready for more, and more just isn't there, so far, yet. Interesting talk, but the exciting things seem to be happening elsewhere, I guess.

Good company, but it's getting kinda dull in here lately. I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just the vicissitudes of development, supply, and some product stuff like the adapters or other esmokes that just haven't happened, like the OP was saying

I checked my e-mail, my order status, checked for a ticket response, and still nothing. This is not a good way to get or keep loyal customers. I will spend more for good product/service. I will not spend more for open-ended ship dates and poor customer service. I would imagine that their CS department is SWAMPED right now, and it's not the CS reps fault. The fault lies with management for letting things get off track.

I pack and ship internet orders every day and if I know something is out of stock, I make it known within the hour. We contact our customers with updates every day until the product ships.......... And we don't have automated customer replies.

hi all have some information about adaptor
the old batch is have resistance inside i'll show you some pic

uppicweb.com/show.php?id=58be3b1f16754ce72258b954a397bc39
(www on first)
and new batch is still have resistor but maybe lower than old batch
i think it's reason why when use js adaptor with 510 atty it's performance is lower than when use with 510 standard batterie.

hey guys....

Ummm... well...I'm still concerned about the issue with the power-loading factor allowed under the USB spec standards. -- Yes... obviously a variety of PVs have been powered by usb pass-through power cable hookups. However, I've yet to see anyone adequately address the issue of loading a USB 1 or USB 2 compliant power source to max or beyond-max spec limits.

Perhaps I'm off-base here, and if so..then maybe someone can offer a correction to my understanding..... isn't the typical atomizer filament known to (or designed to) draw roughly 1000ma (1amp) at a sourcing potential of roughly 3.5V ? -- so that's ~ 3.5W (give-or-take).

Now with the USB power spec at roughly 2.5W (5 "loads" @ ~5V) it seems to me that most USB pass-thru's must be putting a rather heavy demand on most USB power sources. And even with the USB 3 spec upgrade... I don't see enough of the usual engineering margin allowances we were always taught to factor into designs for safety & comfort .

But then again guys... It's late & I'm well into my 3rd pina colada here.:p So I'm more than happy to have someone else raise the bs flag on me.
What am I missing here (maybe the positive filament temp coef ... or something?)

cheers, (*hic*)

To avoid any potential issue with a computers usb power, we could use this: USB Dual Power Adapter
A lot of prodigy users opperate them at 5v just fine :)

Using this very adapter with my PS PT as I type and LOVING it. Can't beat the price, $3.95 shipped...I ordered three of them. Though keep in mind it only provides 2amp/5v using ONE of the two ports.

somebody should just try and find out how to bypass the 3.7 and use the usb at 5 volts.

I'll post it in the modder's forum and see if anyone is interested in doing a simple mod; Mik's already using a multivolt jantystick as mentioned in another thread- so it's a warranty gamble (oh, this WILL void a warranty, make no mistake about that) but it's probably not a bad gamble. If I can talk the wifey into that gamble, I'll see if a modder wants to tackle it. I would, but I'm good in theory, suck at soldering.

At the most difficult, I'd imagine without thinking it through that you'd pick up 5 volts and ground from the usb from wherever it comes in and send it to the 801's connector; probably have to have some kind of switch there so it wouldn't be fed back to the board from the 801 connector- isolate it from the board on that side. Or maybe all that can be done with one switch- most likely can. I'll post over in the modder's forum and see what folks have to say.
