Okay, calm down.

Yes it is supposed to light green if nothing is attached - what he is describing is a malfunction.

You have to send it back and get it replaced - i have tested quite a few of these and havent seen this happen yet, so from my point of view this is not normal - nor does it reflect the build quality.

Regarding the atomizers dying, - it could be a bad atomizer, yes - but it could also be the user of it not keeping it moist enough, overheating it etc. I havent had one die on me yet, and i have been using my eGo _alot_ for a month now.

however, im not saying YOU are the problem - im just saying that the atomizer isnt a part of the ego - its a product in itself, and that product can either be bad, or be mistreated = however both of these have nothing to do with the eGo.

I really dont see how this is possible - i use only one atomizer, and i vape quite hard - and others on this forum vape even harder, and none of us have a problem with the attys overheating.

The problem for us, is that we want to avoid people buying one ego set + one spare atty cover - and then splitting up the set into two full egos = as that is not the point of the ego set.

So - we are debating what to do : do we overprice the atomizer covers? Do we bundle them with other stuff - we need to figure out a solution that will provide our users with what they want, without shooting ourselves in the foot, if you understand what i mean ;)
I always do a tobacco flavor like usa mix or 555 or whatever and also keep something else going just so my tastebuds get a break from one flavor to the next, like for instance peach or something like that.

So you guys really don't know what i'm talking about with the attys though? Weird, maybe it has more to do with the atty wicking more fluid in as it sits than the heat then.

All i know is that the 510 seems to perform better if i take a few hits then let it sit about a bit before taking a few more.

Then again maybe it has something to do with my ex-habit of smoking three packs of mlb reds a day and trying to match that with my pv lol!

back to topic though tell everyone in the decision making capacities thanks in advance for trying to please us on this issue

I am seriously thinking of getting the eGo as my first MOD after reading all the glowing reviews. I am relatively new and have 510, KR8 carts and DE112 atty's. Is there some way with or without adapters that I could use the eGo with these? I have been looking at some of the HV Mods but I think I am just going to stay with the 3.7V, I like my 510 just fine and don't really think I need the bigger hit.

Ok I am going to buy the ego tomorrow. I have the Joye510 mega now and had it for almost 3 months. the battery's are now at 1/2 life and going down. Now my question. I know they say that the ego battery should last 400 charges but if it dies is there a way we can open them up and change the battery even if it takes sodering or is there a plan to recycle the batteries so they do not go into garbage???

I never said anything about the eGo, just the attywhich was wet, just slowly died and the cable was like that from the beginning. What I mean by that is from the get go I had to hold it tight where you screw in the batt and I didn't do it this time. I always screw it in until my fingers slip and the batt stops. This didn't happen as the metal part that the batt screws on turned with the battery. I know its not me as I have hardly any feeling in my hands due to my bad back and I couldn't hold tight enough if I wanted to. I love the eGo itself, just a freaky thing that happened to the USB cable. As for the atty, it only happened to me that way once before and I know it will happen again, just frustrated when it happens to you. You understand that Mik. I know you do.:(:)

When I repaired the USB charger I noticed the sealer inside that was used to hold the connection plate was extremely rubbery, seemed pretty weak to me. It just needed some more durable glue to hold it in place.

The Atomiser I am not sure about, user error or just a random event. Doesn't really matter, I purchased spares as I had read this can happen from time to time hehe.

The eGo is fine, works like a dream. When I said poor quality product, I obviously wasn't referring to the eGo hehe. Just the charger, to me it could easily have a stronger design to stop the connection plate from spinning/breaking off/becoming loose.

Hey.

1) The batteries are completely sealed in, so no you can not and should never attempt to open up the eGo for this, or any other reason - doing so will void your warranty.

2) Once your battery dies, you can send the it back to JantyUSA for recycling purposes / and if under warranty have your battery replaced with a new one.

I hope this clears that up for you =)

I personally have mixed emotions about coupon codes. On the one hand, coupons make you feel like you're getting a bargain (and you sometimes are). On the other hand, I think that many suppliers simply build the coupons into their pricing structure.

Personally, I'd rather have good prices and fair shipping (free above a certain price point) than mess with coupon codes.

Hey River, I have the same issue with my Dura. It seems when the atty gets hot the performance drops. So I alternate as well.

I find the opposite to be true with the eGo though - anyone else? Ofcourse you always have to be a bit careful with these smaller atomizers, i mean 15 second drags wouldnt be advised on it - but i dont feel it weakening as it gets "hotter", on the contrary!

you like your 510 ? you will like it better on the eGo. i know i do. :D

[edit] the eGo is a 510 device ;)

btw, i have sometimes a eGo Problem, most of the day i ask my wife " where is my eGo ?"

it really should have an integrated keyfinder alarm bell thingy... did you hear that mik ?

No no, you just need more eGo's - one for each location you could possibly be in! ;)
