Sorry Kendra.......short of banging it on the table, I'm stumped.

Im thinking if you popped it apart maybe you could see where it is sticking. I know Cellmeister has had his stick apart (not on purpose to start). Maybe he can tell you if the switch is visible and serviceable when it is apart.

I don't want to give you advice that would void your warranty though.....

Thanks. You know, i didn't take it apart but I looked inside. I can't really see anything-- maybe I'll get a flashlight in a minute. . .but, it doesn't LOOK like there is a piece that is moving when I press the switch. I mean, nothing seems to move in to touch the battery. Does anyone know HOW the switch engages?

I really don't press the buttons hard. The SD's switch got stuck on because a plastic disc that usually separates two pieces of metal must have fallen off, and the GG's switch stayed on because a piece of insulating material broke. So, this is not something I'm doing. I'm really upset.

Help, please. .. LUDO? JEFF? ETHAN? ANYONE????

The outside is definitely popping back out. As a matter of fact, I can press it again. . . so, it is coming out. I'm really upset! Seriously.

TDM, I used sandpaper, then I used one of those nail buffer things that has 4 different caorsenesses of buffers, then I used a cloth to buff it, so it is nice and shiny and white when the stick is off...

It sounds like the switch is working mechanically but hanging up electrically.

The circuit is completed through the switch. Nothing moves toward the battery. Just out of curiosity have you tried a different battery and with the usb passthrough and still getting the same result. I'm just shooting in the dark but would try all possibilities at this point. So sorry and hope you can figure it out.

Edit: since you're one of a select few that have the SD, GG, and JS, when you have your button problems fixed, maybe you would consider doing a comparison review of the SD, GG, and JS?

I just got my Janty Stick manual switch. Anyways, anyone who's seen any of my posts the past several days might have seen me mention my SD staying on because of the switch (now fixed), my GG staying on because of the switch (now fixed and being returned to me from Greece). So, now, I hve the Janty stick for a total of about 7 hours, and the same thing is happening! I just changed the battery and put the battery in (negative down, positive up) and it flashes like it's supposed to.

I press the button and drag, let go of my button AND IT STAYS ON!!!! Until the switch automatically turns off and the light flashes red. So, I thought this might be a faulty battery or atomizer. . . sure enough, this is happening with any battery and any atomizer.
Please help. I do not want to send this b ack. I want it to work right, right now, from here. Thank you very much.
I'm thinking Ellendil may know what to do, but if anyone knows what to do, I would appreciate it very much if they tell me. Now. lol.

OK: Sounds Like From What Your Saying Is The Switch Is Stuck Closed If It Does Not Stop Powering / Heating The Atom After You Release It!

The Switch Should Be Replaced Period!

Don't Bother Playing With It, Its A Special Wafer Type Membrane Switch, There Is No Fix.

FYI: The Switch Itself Is To Replace, It Just Sticks On, Yes Its A Sticker Switch!

What To Do: I Would Just Email Janty and Let Them Know, Maybe They Can Just Send You The Switch, I Had Saw Somewhere That Janty Is Suppose To Stock Them. No Tools Needed!

How: To Install It You Peel Off The Old One & Peel-N-Stick The New One On, They Should Send You Instructions Or Walk You Through It Like I Just Did.

Read-> If The Switch Is Sticking At All or Erratically, Please Do Not Use It. Remove The Batt & Atom & Put it Away For Now.
