I took out the atomizer, heard it click into place, put the cartridge in....NOTHING.

Are you screwing it in after you hear it click into place? I push mine in, turning slightly to the right, and once I hear it click I give it two or three good turns. I haven't had an issue with a single atomizer and I have them in matte finish, shiny, from several different places. However, I do prefer the Janty atomizer in it. If you've turned it after the click, you might just have a lemon. Unfortunately, it happens. Talk to Ethan.

I've been using Janty juice - the 10ml bottle is made of firm plastic and needs a darn good squeeze, it's not as soft as most other bottles I've had. So I decanted the juice into a 'softer' bottle but then forgot I'd done it and gave the new bottle a Janty-sized squeaze the next time I dripped - loads too much went in, and in a short while I had juice seeping out of the join where the LED is and out thru the USB socket. I mopped it off with tissue but more kept coming and the Stick was dead :( I dismantled the components and wiped out the "canals" (the battery compartment was dry) and drained everything for a while, and the Stick is working fine now.

Give me marks for not panicking, fellas ;)

See, the stick will leak... I started a thread regarding this and was told that I did not have my atomizer screwed in properly because the atomizer is sealed when screwed in properly and should not leak. :(

So if you drip a few drops too many, it will leak. So much for a sealed atomizer. :-x

Scylla, I'm glad you were able to get your stick up and working again. Yes the battery stayed dry for me too, because it appears to be more sealed than the atomizer.

I'd love to hang my JantyStick around my neck like a necklace, so it's always easy to reach. I remember Ludo saying something about changing the battery cap so it has a little ring to put a string/chain through.

So, Ludo, any news on that?
If you do make that, would it be possible to get just the new battery cap?

Does anybody have any other ideas to hang the JantyStick on a string or something?

PS: Yes, I deliberately avoided saying "hang my stick around my neck", anticipating all your filthy thoughts and comments! :D

Ludo, I got my LE stick yesterday!
Thanks for the service, and for inscribing the serial number in roman numerals...
I have two problems though:

Yesterday, I charged the battery inside the stick via USB.
The charge light stayed on for 2.5 hours.
I had read that it should only take 2 hours, so I unplugged it.
I took out the battery and it measured 4.58 volts!
The charging system in my stick is defective.
This has obviously ruined the battery as it is swelled up.
AND, this could have caused an explosion and/or fire!
I am very upset.
The stick is now my only PV, as I don't have the money for multiple devices.
I need to send it back, but I need a PV in the meantime...
What would you suggest I do?

The other problem is that when using a cartridge, I get a burned taste after about 5 drags.
This happens no matter if the cart is topped off or not.
Any remedy for this?
Please advise...
Thanks,

FAUXPUFF

Arv, U Can Get One of Those Cheapo Temporary Split Rings (You Have To Find About 3/8" Round Split Ring That You Slide Tightly Over The Cart), Put The Thin Lanyard Cord (CellPhone Type Strap) Under It And Slide It Over The Cart. Then Connect Any Break Away Lanyard On It.

I Got Mine Off A Cheapo Flashlight Lanyard & Tossed The Lanyard & Use The Ring.

I haven't seen any references to what type of Auto Switch is used in the JS Auto version or where it is located in the device.

Is it a pressure switch?
Microphone Switch?
Is it located behind the threaded atomizer receptacle?
Is the atomizer connection in an Auto version completely sealed like the Manual version?
Located elsewhere in the body of the JS?
Is it "End User" serviceable if fouled with an overfilled cart?

Well, here it is. I have an auto. The air pressure is regulated by a component on the circuit board. The cut off also. SO, there is no finger switch, it is an automatic, set just like an automatic cigarette-style battery, when you puff it heats. The longer the draw the more heat and vapor. If you get the atty flooded, you take it out and blow it out. Pretty simple and straightforward. IT IS NOT recommended for drippers, dippers, dunkers. Just fill the cart to a nice, not too overfilled level and go.
NIIIIICCEE! And I suppose a person could remove the cover to clean out over juiced fallout, but really not necessary if you just follow the protocol.

Just got my stick yesterday, Yaaaay! I noticed that the vapor production starts to taper as the battery nears end of charge, BTW I'm getting about 6 to 8 hours before that happens . Just wondering if it's better for the battery to wait until it flashes that the battery needs charged or if I should just charge it when vapor starts to taper? I know these batteries are much cheaper than any others I use so it's not really that big of a deal, just wanted to hear some opinions on the matter. If this has been posted somewhere before please lead me to that thread. Thanks.

Since they are Lith Ion batteries, it really doesn't matter. Just your personal preference. I would change 'em out if the performance started to suffer.

Thanks Ludo, you are the BEST!!!

Anyone questioning Janty's excellent customer service can PM me for a full account of Janty going above and beyond the call of duty in my case!

Thanks again Ludo!

P.S. (I wouldn't doubt if DW smells something positive being said and shows up to dump some mud on this thread...)
