can you check the resistance with a voltmeter ? i had an atomizer with 3 ohm, instead the ~4.2ohm for a new one. and everything was strong and burned, too.

i had a bit of luck, after the cleaning procedure in pure coke, ethanol and and the cleaning with cooked water, drying etc. it was well again. today i think some of the mesh came loose and settled down on the heating coil, lessening the resistance.

but at first you should check the resistance.

Hello LE Stick customers...

We were expecting the special box to arrive at roughly the same time as the sticks came in. The shipment finally arrived and the box was severely damaged upon arrival. I made the decision to send the sticks out right away along with extras rather than await another shipment of boxes and hold up your orders any longer.

What is the status of the special box?
Were they all destroyed and have to be remade or is the $20 credit for the box and the $25 credit for the engraving?

Not that I particularly need it, but I am anxious to see it and just not clear on the status.

Thanks

i doubt that will be necessary on yours atomizer, its not used much.

but you could rinse the atomizer with hot water a few times, blowing it out from the battery thread.
repeat a few times. if there is any thing loose making a short, it will went away if you are lucky.

make sure you get all water out of it, and maybe use a hairdryer to dry it.

but, please. never do it with your stick, never ;)

Grjhine: Well, they did send me a new JS, right away - but yeah i would have liked atleast a new atomizer or something. I mean no reason to send me a new box, usb cable and manual etc, but lets see if they remedy this.

To me it took a couple of days for the atomizer to come around. The primer in the new one was the worst I've had yet. If you haven't used the atomizer much, the primer taste very burnt to me.

Is there any way to prime it "faster" ? And the thing is, mine DID taste extremely good like the first 10 mins. From there on its been on/off, getting worse all the time

Can anyone recommend a USB wall adapter to use instead of my USB hub? One with multiple ports would be even better.

Would this work?

I use one of these with both a JS and a conventional 801 passthrough. Works fine.

Okay so.

I took a glas of coke zero, put the atomizer in ( yes im a daft ..... ), let it sit there for 20 mins, poured it out, put it in another glas with household alcohol / for cleaning, and let it sit there for 10 mins, then took it out, rinsed under warm water, blew it dry with mouth, then hairdried very well. Put 5 drops on atomizer, - sizzled it for a few secs, - let it rest for 4 mins, then tried and so far.. well seems like its working somewhat. Cause the vapor i get now is immensely thick, and i can actually taste the flavor now. And NOW i understand why people say they have a hard time hitting the 11 sec cutoff.

So - maybe this will improve and it was all a mix of a short circuit, and a bad primer?

Should be noted that my dura-c still has WAY more flavor - so .. i dont know if this is usual with the janty that it does cover up some flavor, or if you guys think it actually brings out the flavor more.

i actually thought id get a spare atomizer in the package - when i ordered my dura-c i got a spare, and it was my understanding from other people on the boards that that was customary. I guess i was wrong.

Secondly, - when they tell me they will give me a replacement unit, i figure its a FULL replacement unit. So..
Just so you have an idea what to expect with future purchases...
Dura/510s come with two atoms, but most other kits will only have one. There are a couple of suppliers who add a second, and you'll find they generally they build the cost into the price of the kit. So you need to look at the supplier's description to know what's included.

When an item is bad and under warranty you can expect that item to be replaced; not the whole kit. Don't be surprised if you ever find you have to send a defective atom or battery back before getting a replacement.

Kinda what i expected, but thanks for clarifying.

Ive just ordered replacement parts for everything + a crapload of new items. This is an expensive hobby, but tbh, well worth it. Ive been smoking for 15 years, and when i got my dura-c 3 weeks ago i havent even thought about smoking analogues again. I took 2 drags off my sisters cigarette 2 weeks ago, and it was awful. So , this works for me. 100%. =D
