Message/reply editor icons missing

This is weird. When posting a new thread or replying to a thread, all the boxes for the icons are above the text area, but the icons themselves are missing. This just started happening, and I've tried logging in/out, updating Java, deleting my cookies, restarting Firefox, rebooting my computer, checking my settings (Enhanced editor checked). This doesn't happen in Internet Explorer, but I prefer using Firefox and I'm using the latest version. I've also tried changing from ECF1 and back, but no luck. Any ideas? I'm baffled!

i use chrome and sometimes this happens as well...mostly here but sometimes on my own sites...refreshing the page usually loads it...
it's hit and miss...not sure if it's my pc/net or if it's got something to do with my servers file permissions...but seeing that it's been happening here I'm gonna say it's my cache files on pc

It could be one of the servers acting up. Sometimes logging out, clearing cookies, then logging back into the site fixes things.

Thanks, Shadav and retired, for the suggestions! I've tried everything I know to do, so I'll just see what happens and report back if anything changes. I know Firefox is wonky sometimes, but I can always use IE if it starts to bug me too much

Can anyone explain why I don't have a "start new thread" option? I'm only seeing the option to reply no option to create a new post???

Which sub-forum are you not seeing the start new thread option? I looked at your account, and you don't appear to have any restrictions (a common one is changing email address and not confirming it, but that doesn't seem to be the case here).

I've been FireFoxing all day with no hiccups. Might be a network problem on your end. If I'm right the icons are some of the last things to load on ECF pages. Sounds like incomplete page loads some reason. Check/reset your network connection. Also, take a look at your network settings in FF too.

Well, I'll be darned . . . my icons have magically materialized! Who knows? Maybe it's because of all the vape I've been blowing at my computer screen In any event, thanks to all the help and suggestions!
