I've been married for almost 24 years. Love him dearly, all romatical-like, too. He's recently taken up snoring, and that bothered me greatly until I figured I'd think of him as a Pug or a Bulldog. Not a Greek; British last name. Over the years, I've infected him with German. Now, if that's not romance, I don't know what is.
Snoring, thinking of him as a dog, infections... sounds like romance to me!!

After 20 years together (12 of them married) the wife and I think agreeing on what to have for dinner is very romantic.
This thread should come equipped with insulin. It's sooo freakin sweet! Almost makes a guy sick. Good thing my girlfriend doesn't know about this! I'd have to do some kind of magnificent, chivalrous deed to match the fantasy you women-folk have drummed up in your fantasies. The reality is, there's no background music, other than the imagination and this thread has fueled another potential for real-life mens' failure to meet womens' expectations. Hollywood has corrupted true romance and made the male gender's true, real romantics look inadequate. Read the script.
BTW I buy my GF flowers for no reason and tell her she's beautiful and cuddle and don't ..... about chick-flicks and all that other crap. I have to keep up with Hollywood, you know. She loves me for it and I love her too.

Dougie, don't worry. Despite all of our super-romance fantasies, we chicks know that sometime, somewhere, you're going to leave the seat up and spit in the sink. Yet, love happens. It's the secret hook in Reality's Romance Novel.

Aww an ECF love story (perhaps in our minds but a love story nonetheless). It has most of the elements. A note. A tragedy - lost in the crowd at the courthouse and again here at ECF with the minimum post count requirement. Now just waiting on the ending.

Most of the time but my wife yells about it for some reason????? I wish she wouldn't though, just wash the dishes in there, hit the lever and watch all the dirty soapy water spin down the drain... BRILLIANT!
