In my personal polls, which can't be any more inaccurate than the ANTZ polls, I get a very different reaction. When ever I meet a juvenile in either middle or high school I ask "How many kids in your school have tried cigarettes"? The answer is always the same. Almost everyone.

I hear you and find that information interesting.

Though I think youth smoking likely has declined, but wouldn't attribute it to a ban on sales. And when anyone makes such an assertion, I'd like to see it backed up. If quoting something like Heart, Lung or Cancer associations, I would wonder why this data is trusted (no questions asked) but if same organization publishes negative data on eCigs, it is to be scrutinized forever and a day.

Funny you mention that. I was just reading this morning about a brand new CDC survey that says smoking among High School students is at it's lowest level in 22 years. But they didn't ask anything about e-cigs (of course). Gee, think that had something to do with it?

EDIT: Just found the thread in here...

That is an excellent point. The juveniles may be experimenting with E-Cigs and therefore not taking to tobacco. Yet another reason not to ban them from the youth.

CASAA has a Call to Action on the website today, asking Michigan vapers to contact Gov. Snyder and ask him to sign SB 668, which creates age restrictions on ecigs but does nothing further. He is strongly considering a veto, which would lead to potential legislation that would create harsher restrictions and open the door to further taxes.

The CASAA link provides an easy template for creating and sending an email and actually sends it. Easy and important! Be sure to also tell your friends and relatives who may not be vapers, but still appreciate the good results they've seen in their vaping friends.

CASAA: Call to Action! We need Michigan vapers to immediately contact Governor Rick Snyder's office and ask him to sign Senate Bill 668.

I expect Gov Snyder will not sign. He is using this as leverage to get Ecigs classified as tobacco to tax the hell out of them. This will do nothing except hurt the B&Ms. Online ordering from out of state will take over. This may be illegal since once can't purchase tobacco products online. Wouldn't that be a kick in the teeth!
