Micro coils??

I've been seeing a ton of stuff about micro coils,,,,,,,

I have no clue what these are,,,,,,,,

Butters was kind enough to link a video in another thread, but I still don't get it,,,,,I started this thread so I wouldn't totally hijack that thread.

it doesn't look any different than the coil in my 2.4 ohm vivi nova,,,,,,,,,,well, maybe more wraps.

so what makes a micro coil MICRO???

It's wire wrapped TIGHTLY together (so that the wraps touch eachother). It lowers the resistance a bit, and gives the coil more surface area contact with the wick - producing more vapor, with more flavor. I wrap mine around a small diameter mini-screwdriver, or a large paperclip. I guess that makes mine nano coils, as opposed to micro coils. IMO, they work the best.

EDIT: wrapping the wire tightly allows you to use more wraps/more wire. And because the wire touches, it drops the resistance as well.
