Micro or Nano coils?

The issue with nano coils is wicking. When you have a very low ohm build with nano coils you will burn through juice quickly and with a much thinner wick it can be tricky getting enough juice to the coils. When they work they work really well though so worth playing with.

You can get round that (to a certain extent) by dragon wicking. I use a quad 1mm innner diameter dragon coil setup in my fogger and it doesn't dry out too easily.

Does dragon wicking only work best on 3 post RDAs? I tried it on my Plume Veil clone like a month ago and got brutal dry hits rather quickly. Full disclosure: I'm pretty new at this and that was my first attempt.

For me it depends on the atty and how low I wrap my coils... I usually wrap dual 24ga that end up around .35 ohms or so. For those I want a lot of juice flow so I make them macro coils. When I'm building for a regulated mod at higher ohms, I make them micro coils. The only nano coils I guess would be when I was rebuilding Kanger heads... But I'm more about juice flow with hotter coils so I like "em big.

[EDIT] Also, when I'm building a smaller atty like an Atomic, I do a stovetop instead of micro or nano just to get more juice in contact with the coil.

I haven't had any trouble with quads on my 5 post fogger, maybe you're using too much cotton or winding it too tight, if you make the wick too dense it doesn't seem to allow as much liquid to flow to the coils.
