Hey there,

i've been using ecigs to quit smoking for about 3 months. The process has been difficult.

My journey began at a local mall kiosk selling ecigs & locally made ejuice. Unfortunately that's about it around here for retail so i've relied heavily on the online vendors & information. No doubt I'll be searching the archives here for some time.

Without ever trying an ecig I jumped in with a joyetech ego-c starter kit & have since spent an additional $150 on atomizers, cartomizers, tanks, glass tanks & other cartomizers. Even though the juice purchases have been excellent (Supreme Nicotine, Velvet Cloud Vapor & Aroma juice) I can't say the same for all the difft tanks & 'mizers. Everything tastes like plastic or electronics.

Over the weekend I ordered a vmod xl & some extra hybrid bridge less atomizers, and the 2 difft offerings from the hh357 guy, plus some other bits. I also have a Thermovape Cera on pre-order, and a super t mgfr'ing vapemate & a Kick on the way too.

Hopefully the tech challenges I've faced are close to being behind me. I'm tired of juice in the mouth, tasting wicks & atomizers, questionable materials, tasting nastiness, off taste hits, etc.

i'll be lurking the vmod threads heavily for a bit. I'm really hoping its the ecig I wanted from the beginning.

Edit: I'm into taste& purity. Can anyone fill me in on the differences, taste wise, amongst all the difft sizes? I can follow most of the jargon but got lost w/a statement such as "306 internals stuffed into a 510 connector'. What the heck is a 306 or a 901? And if the best flavor is what I'm after, which type should I be reading up on?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I currently am running a segelei Zmax with a SmokTech 6ml Carto Tank. and i can say that is the best setup for me that i have found. No juice in the mouth. does not mute the flavor and is just a great tank. the initial filling of the tank leaves something to be desired.. but after that. really easy. Welcome to ECF and enjoy your stay.. we do have a list of vendors on the forums for you to try out. May i suggest KickBassVapor | AliceinVapeland | VaporCastStore just to name a few for your ejuice.

The exact setup for me is Zmax running at 10Watts with a 1.5ohm DCT on top.. love the setup.

Hi. Welcome and good luck with your search for the best hardware for your needs. I'm pretty new myself so don't take what I'm about to say as being an expert opinion since I'm new myself. I recently switched to the eGo C and love it. The clearomizers I'm currently using are the eGo 1.6 ML size ones that Freedom Smoke USA (FSUSA) sells. I have not had any problems with the 2 I've used so far with either vaping a plastic taste or leakage. Just push the tip in and turn it clockwise until it won't turn anymore and everything works great.

I only mention FSUSA since I'm still too new to say if they have the best prices or not so you may want to shop around. Also, I've heard here on the forum that there are other clearomizers that are better, but so far these are the only ones I've used and can speak to with some certainty. I'm sure more knowledgeable people will speak up and give you some good advice that is based on more experience than I have so far. Good luck! PS No juice in the mouth either with the clearomizers I'm using.

Thanks for the replies, I really appreciate it.

Tonight I'm sucking on an aClear variable clearomizer at 2.4 ohms, but I also have a vivi nova, gentlemans vapes tincture cartridge, IBTanked glass tanks, boge & smoktech 'mixers, and others I don't even recall. I got the clearomizer after tiring of taste issues w/the other options. Obviously, my search isn't over but hopefully I'm close.

I'm really looking forward to getting the vmod xl working w/a proper atty.

Thanks again. I've been reading threads on this forum for a while, glad to finally jump in.

Ecf seems to be a rather civil forum based on what I've read thus far.
Very much so Whodoo. Get out of line here and they throw you out. Refreshing actually after briefly trying a couple other forums where they talk like kids that just learned new curse words!

Where you located in MO? I'm in Columbia.
