((((MaryKay)))) I'm so sorry to hear about Mike!! I just found out this morning. I'm keeping you and Mike in my prayers!!

24 “The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”’

Numbers 6:24-26

Love,

Thank you all once again! I am seeing some people (Jean and "T") that I haven't seen in a while. There has been no change since last night but it seems they are putting the paralytic back. He improves slightly with it but then he B.P. goes crazy..up and down very fast. Then he can't maintain his breathing from his chest. I think maybe they are helping him so the family can gather.
I told him today he was popular and needed to get home and thank everyone.
We hung some curtains last night and put some rugs down to hide his burn marks. I was afraid to hang his curtain (we have blinds and frosted glass) be cause they would have been too close to his chair..he tended to fall asleep and drop his cigarette. As it is, I just put down office chair matts (very thick hard plastic..cigarette burn proof..we tried!) down under fireproof rugs to help keep him from lighting up the nigt!

Mike's sister and brother are here. It was hard for them to see thier big brother like this. He has always been the hard soldier, the tough guy..he took care of every one. With the loss of his older sister 2 months ago..it is even harder for them.
They have used the paralytic drugs 4 times now. He improves slighly for a short time and then goes back to fighting for every breath. The machine is doing most of the work but the litlle he does wears him out..it's like watching him run a mile. I think they are holding him here for us..Shawn gets home tomorrow. Another emotional day as his Grandpa has always been Shawn's hero. Today was Shawn's finals so they finally told him he was coming home and how serious it was. That kid must be devastated and blindsided.
