Pics of the inside where I drilled ugly holes in his otherwise fantastic design.

You'll never see it, ugly hot glue holds my DNA40 board in my ZNA but it does the job well. My far back yard goes down an incline, the only time I see it is when I mow it. Years ago my wise guy neighbor "informed me" there are weeds and clover mixed in the grass down there, my reply was a shrug and "I can't see it from the house", he has to look it every day..... :p

Well, it's the first I'm seeing it [emoji12] I think it I'm gonna build one

I like those kinda clones :) you can buy everything you need for cheep and just swap for a real DNA40 :)
I did that with a Zero clone came out killer :)
I wonder if the cloned board functions well.

They say they work good just not as accurate on the Ohms. I would still replace the chip with an Authentic :)
I don't trust the Chinese Chips they could set your house on fire :(

Sitting down, facing forward.
I have to say I'm happy with the way JB Weld bonds aluminum together. I cut some 1/8"x1/8"x1/2" pieces to support the top of my battery/chip sled and used JG to set them in place. I did scuff everything up nicely with 60 grit and then cleaned it with lacquer thinner before applying glue. I was able to drill and tap, albeit 0-80, with no problems and it hold the top of the sled very securely. Next I'll add some rails down the long side as well.

Back to slow, careful, file work on my battery door.

Can't speak to Yiloong but Waidea has 1/2 second firing delay & 1 button press to wake from a hard sleep. They have functional preheat, accurate temperature control & refinement. Early units had grounding issues but Waidea corrected within 1 month of us bringing it to their attention. Very good build quality on Waidea, but many did not like their regular flasks because they had fixed center pins. It was a very Easy swapout to FDV v3 Shorty 510 though & worked great so long as properly grounded. Others were able to take FDV v4 core & use it in original Waidea Single Slotted 510.

Does the Waidea have a small screen or large screen? I'm considering dropping a legit DNA40 large screen in a mod and figured trying a Squonker might be fun.
Original flasks were small screen but I was just looking at the new squonker on Focal & it is hard to tell but looks like they incorporated the large screen in the redesign. They only released this at end of July & screen looks bigger to me in Focals pics that I literally just saw when I posted that link. Problem is they may have used pics of original VF Squonk.

EDIT: Says small screen at Waidea:Vapor Flask Squonk DNA 40 V2.1S
EDIT: VF Squonk Style Temperature Control VW Variable Wattage APV Mod w/ Bottle - Black, Aluminum, 1~40W, 1 x 18650 - 3FVape
