:offtopic:

Just my 2¢... Sorry, Mike for going WAY off topic.
In large part I agree with most everything you said about the lack of safety standards in vaping. Those who have known me for a while have heard me preach similar things, regarding safety, long ago.

I have heard of laptops in particular catching fire though. Its beside the point. We need at least the level of safety as cell phones have, if not more.

Thank you, Mr. Mundy. It looks like there's enough stupidity to go around. The incidents mostly appear to be human error. Funny that I couldn't find a report of cell phone battery failure. I suppose liability law keeps manufacturers on their toes.

I'm flying to Central America on Thursday for most of two weeks. I hope I'll be able to get my vaping gear back into the Sates...

Hey folks, finally got the new style buttons from Alpinetech and I gotta tell ya, it's a really nice switch. The build quality is awesome. Prolly one of the better switches I've come across. You can get them from Alpinetechs Facebook page by sending them a PM.

Thanks Mike, it's my normal twisted nickel/kanthal I usually run on my DNA40 but I used the wrong wire, 28 instead of 30, and it came in really low and the 40 struggled.

So I thought I'd try it on the 200. It was fine to begin with but then..............

I'll just rebuild it tomorrow, too late now..........

Quick question for those of us with erm+ boxes, and the Evolv 510 doesn't fit. What was the best solution for making it fit?

Sanding the edges of the 510 or enlarging the cavity on the erm+?

I didn't want to search the other thread, hoping somebody came up with a newer more clever solution after all the time that has passed?

Thanks in advance.

Chuck the 510 in a drill and run the rough edge across some sandpaper or a file, with the drill on a slow speed. Better yet is to stick an old carto in the 510 and chuck the carto.

I had to do that with an Evolv box just last night, I scratched up the original 510 ages ago and though a new one would be nice. So it's not just the ERM+

Nope, it definitely was an issue with a lot of the 1st batch of Evolv 510s, regardless of what mod you put them in.

Finally got around to building my three ERM+ boxes last night. Fixing the 510 edges was super simple and super fast. Thanks for all the advice on that front.

I have a couple of questions for those who also got in on the ERM + deal however.

I couldn't screw the DNA200 board all the way down, it would auto press some of the buttons. Even loosening the screws by a turn or two still seems like the board is more than secure, but wondered if everybody had that happen?

And I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the extra piece of foam rubber tape was for? I assumed to eliminate battery rattle if there was any, but I couldn't detect any.
