Phillip Morris did a study where they found that overall, smokers benefit society financially. Smokers die younger, which reduces the costs of health insurance and living expenses for the elderly. Matt Myers is interviewed in this radio show and fights to suppress and misrepresent that data put forth by Phillip Morris.
