the answer is yes. genesis atomizers are better than tank/carto in my opinion. the coil/wick can last 3-4 months and when your coil finally pops or your wick finally gunks up past repair, it only costs $3 to rewick and coil. The only negative (in my opinion) is the fact that they will leak if you lay them on their sides. I don't own a ZAP but I do have an Aga-T and although it is too big for me to bring out, I happily vape it at home on my provari mini. I love it. Genesis tanks are fantastic and if your a hobbyist or heavy vaper, I recommend highly.

with that said you don't need a ZAP... and you don't need a provari. You can get a genesis atty like the DID, a DID clone, an Aga-T like me, whatever. There are many options for genesis tanks. And you can basically put them on anything, although I recommend having a device that reads ohms. The provari is nice to have with a rebuildable because it will also tell you if you've got small shorts via its errors.

But yes, gennys are great. They taste nice too because there is NO fibers, NO string wick, just a roll of clean stainless mesh. Although if you prefer a cotton/wick wick, you can use that instead. I mean I'd still use cartos or carto tanks or vivi tanks or clearos for out of the house with a large genesis, but for at home or at work, away from people, OR, anywhere if you don't mind a large device, the genesis tanks are fantastic.

Pbusardo's review of the ZAP really puts the size of it into perspective. If you own another genesis atomizer you might think "genesis atomizers are big, clunky atomizer tanks" NOT SO with the ZAP and Z atty line. they are small and compact and truly works of art. Congratulations on your purchase. I hope to be able to own one of these someday.

Is it really any better than a tank/carto setup?

150$ is a lot to spend I guess unless it lasts forever and there are no parts to replace. It would pay for itself.
What is the shelf life?

ZAP's do work well... The draw is airy though.. I had one for about a week before I sold it... It about doubled the weight of my Provari and added alot of length... I will stick to the HH357's and direct dripping... Small package with great performance...

Also needs to be pointed out that if consistency is what youre looking for you might be better off with a carto tank.Theres a high learning curve to rolling and oxidizing your own wicks and wrapping kanthal wire.Even veteran rebuildable enthusiasts run into poblems with this sometimes as the result of human error.

Your banner said you saved 689 and 2,299 cigs avoided in 4 months..more than me in almost 15 months.
How many packs a day were you smoking? You must be saving some serious cash

I smoked a pack a day and my American Spirits cost $6 a pack. If you look around, most people's counters here are similar to mine. Between my Provari and my ZAP (which upsettingly did not arrive today) I am not yet saving money, but I don't care because I'm not smoking.

The ZAP works great.... drawl is airy but you get used to it! If you want to rock you socks of with a Genesis you need a mechanical mod like this setup here...

I think you will save once you get your hardware setup complete. The mailman was not kind to both of us today! My mailbox was empty and my vape supplies are still out there. Let us know how you like it on Monday if you get it.

the ZAP was MADE for the provari. Its short for Zen Atty PRO and the PRO is short for Provari.
the Z-Atty-U is made for any device. The ZAG is made for the GG mods.
I want a ZAP just because it looks so gorgeous on the provari. Mech mods are great with a genny wrapped low...
But I really do like my Aga on my provari because no matter what I wrap, I can change the voltage to suit it.

But damn the Zap is gorgeous on provari. I'll have one eventually. Just not any time soon.

maybe i'm in tye minority because i hear everyone leaving their ZAPs\genis at home....this zap hasnt been detached from my Vari since i got it...

work, car, couch and garden....this thing is with me....

the learning curve is a ..... i'm not gonna try and convince anyone to go buy a zap but that being said once you nail it once...its easy to replicate...

hardest part for me was oxidizing the wick....thats it...

WELL worth it...and the airy draw is fixable with this Air flow drip tip ;)
