Hey Vets,

So, I know this is a very specific kind of question, but maybe one of you have these two products and have experienced the same problem. If not, perhaps there are any ideas on how I could fix it.

So, as the title says I'm running a Mini Davide from Anyvape on my ZMax Sigelei. I fill the tank up about 3/4 of the way and attach the bottom to the tank and that's about the only time that it will fill up on it's own, but only a little. I literally have to unscrew the tank and cover the three air holes as well as the bottom of the unit and suck really hard on my drip tip to get any juice into the bottom. I can always tell it's filling because I see the level of juice in the glass tank drop as well as some bubbles.

Here is one thought that I had about the situation, but didn't want to do anything before I consulted the experts. When I go to fill up the tank, as you do with any other bottom fed atomizer, I detach the atomizer unit from the tank and turn the tank upside down. The fill holes for the tank are extremely small. I don't know exactly what gauge it is, but I have to use a very small needle to get any juice into the tank. Perhaps maybe I need to double the size of those holes. Would that help or do you think that might cause me to have even more problems?

Thanks!!

One solution comes to mind they make a new bottom for that that also fits the Protanks. It's air hole is above the threads and is adjustable. But that is just for air flow. Juice flow should not be different. Try not filling it so high. Tipping it may also help. Mods don't change juice flow only air flow on tanks that have the air hole in the 510 threads. Wattage is a factor if you run wattages that outrun the ability for the wick to keep up then you will get dry hits. Remember the wick on the standard PT or Davide is only 2mm at best if you got good heads. Which reminded me of a problem. Some of the clone PT heads have a wick smaller than 2mm and they suck and not in a good way.

Yes, the mini Davide has tiny fill holes, and a needle tip bottle or blunt syringe is very handy.

Why don't you fill it all the way? They're small enough already :)

Not sure what you mean by juice filling the bottom. It should stay above the coil, not fill the bottom. The coil extends through the bottom into the juice chamber. I fill mine starting by holding it at an angle. When it gets nearly full, I slowly move it to vertical and continue until the juice is even with the holes. Then put on the base/coil unit and turn it right side up. Give it a few minutes to soak the wick (or a few draws without firing the battery), and good to go.

You may be using high vg juice? If so you'll need to thin the juice with water. Start at 5% but may need more for that device if the juice flow is tight on it. May even need as much as 10-15% just depends. But try to Use as little as possible to get good wicking. If you can enlarge the holes going to te juice chamber it would help, but hard to undo if you overdo it and it floods. So diluting the vg to accommodate the device would be better but it's up to your choice.
