Tripple digits half way to home
I placed an order with Alt smoke yesterday for a SB. After I got home I got a possible nice surprise. I'll have to wait and see if it really happens or not before I can make a decission. Anyway the first thing I did was get on the Provapes site and start looking at the Provari. (Yea it might be that kinda surprise). After a LOT of comparing etc., I really can't decide if I want to go with the mini provari or the standard provari. I like the idea of the smaller size but I like the idea of the 18650 option also. I really don't know how long a 18350 would last me. The only thing I have that is a large battery is one of the vmax. (No comments please). I'm still undecided on how or where I'll go with this idea but I would appreciate Provari owners input on the difference and suggestions. The device will be carried everyday and used like it was suppose to be used. (For example my vmax gets stuffed in an old open top eyeglass case with a pocket clip on it. When I get to work and decide to do some serious vaping it gets stuffed in a pocket and taken for a walk.) I can't wear anything with a lanyard while I'm in uniform. I got some mini's that I can hide in a shirt pocket for those really hard stealth times. Thanks all.

Well I got the mini and if I could do it over again (which I will when the green led comes back) I'd get the standard. The standard without the extender cap is practically the same length as the mini with the extender and basically the same battery 18500/18490. And trust me, you probably will use the extender cap on the mini if you vape alot and I still have to change out my battery once per night while working 12hrs. I didn't even get the 18350 battery and I'm glad since for me it would have been a waste. Plus, as you say, with the standard you're gonna have the 18650 option which you may regret not having later on. The standard without the extender (and the mini with ext) is about the same length as my ego twist 650, just larger diameter.

just my :2c:

I'm the exact opposite. My standard has no extended cap. I wish I got the mini...

I can run an 18650 in my telescope, zmax, and vtube...I just don't have anything small I can run with vv and an 18350.

I got the Mini as my first, actually my first MOD ever. Its a lot smaller then it looks in the pictures. I like it a lot but I though the full size what going to be way big and in all actuality I dont think it would have and it will hold larger batteries. I like the gripping on the mini's more then the reg. I have a feeling I'll be getting the full size one as well down the road if the green LED ever comes back too. That way I have something small and stealthy and a larger one for longer times vaping. I'll just be getting a couple more 18350 batteries to keep in a cause while I'm out and about. so it really doesnt bother me to change out batteries. I work from home so I can charge anytime I want while working etc..

Being an hours drive from home everyday, I take everything (and I mean everything I can think of) to work with me. Backpack, small toolbox, extra carto's, extra juice, batteries, chargers,. WOW I'm starting to think I'm paranoid.

You aren't paranoid if it turns out they were really after you ;)

I went with the standard w/o the extension cap. The 18490 lasts pretty much the whole day for me. I have a TOX w/ the 18350 & 18500 tubes, and the 18350 craps out on me before the work day is done. I will be ordering the extender cap in the near future though since I have an 18650 mod & some batteries on the way.

I currently have a full size Provari and use it primarily in short mode. I find a 18490 will last easily through my workday, and I'm never far from an extra battery or a charger (I have a Pila with a car adapter for road trips).

I prefer the smaller size so much that I just ordered a White Mini so I can use it in stealth mode with the normal end cap when I'm out for short periods.

I bought the mini as well, and it would last about 3 maybe 4 hours of heavy vaping, possibly a little less when my batteries were first breaking in. Because of that I then bought the extension cap which can last me pretty much a whole day. Only time the 18490 doesn't if I am rebuilding coils and having to play with them a lot to avoid shorts. Down the road I plan on getting another provari, and will probably go with a regular since I already have the mini. I do like having the option of the mini right now though, so it is a tough decision as I think the extension cap is a nice option.

Because I don't vape a lot at work, I could easily just use the smaller battery, but I tend to use the 18490 at work and not carry extra batteries.

I agree, plus whether or not to buy one or both :D

LOL: Both is diffenently not an option. Right now I'm just trying to figure out if I can really do this and still eat for the rest of the month. Oh yea and almost forgot I'm gonna have to get more meds too. Bummer. Oh well it's not like I can't wait for a while. Because I can't. I got a really bad case of the WANTS.

You can choose the color in a day but the size can take you weeks!

I have a very bad case of the wants right now for a mini too.

But Provape just decided to stop accepting credit cards from my country. The only way I'm allowed to purchase is via western union or wire transfer. Both of which has a $50 fee!

Damn, if only Paypal.

I hate to admit this but like my Sweetie always reminds me "You don't know how to sugar coat anything". Some of the people I've had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with. Well the truth is the EGO they have just turns me off. I don't own a Provari so I don't know what it's like. I do own several other VV that have pleased me very well. They perform as I want and have never let me down. But then again I haven't been doing this as long as a lot of you all have. Sorry but it's just my opinion. I almost made the mistake last night and hit the submit button till I saw want I had on the list. It was over $1,000 US. I was comparing and forgot to take off the ones that I couldn't afford. LOL. Now if you will please excuse me I have to go check out PROVAPES site. Again. I still want one but just not sure about the money yet. In the long run ANY PV will be a great one if it keeps you off the analogs!!!:toast:

That's the kind of attitude I'm talking about. My local B/M store owner contacted the vendor and they wouldn't even budge on what they wanted. Was no matter to them. They have a very high quality product and know it. So they can do as they want. I'd like to add that I don't enjoy the argument of over which device is the best. No matter who or what it is.

I might end up with a regular at some point but the mini for me is about right. With the 18350 and a Nova it fits in a shirt pocket without sticking out and it fits perfectly in the magazine pocket in 5.11 Tactical pants. In 18490 mode it is great for weekends.

You mean the Taclite pants with the knife pocket in them? I hope so. That would pursuade me towards the direction. Do you think the standard with the 18500 would fit ok? That's usually where I carry my vmax now.
