I made this last night.

It's in a 3xAA battery box. It has a 3.7v 14500 battery with a LR 901 atty and a pump bottle built in. It works great! I wanted to prove the concept and make sure everything fit. I just need to shorten the juice hose to make it more pocket friendly. There has to be some slack in the hose so I put the atty deep in to minimize it.

Thanks I have one here and was wonting to try to make one. I think that will be my weekend project. :)

Thanks Suddenly... love the avatar! Now that one should be on the rate this avatar thread!

mxbnw .... The bottles came from here on ebay. They're listed as 3ml but it hold at least 8ml by eyeballing it.

From the bottom of the threads down, the bottle is the same exact size as a 14500 battery.

Great! Let me know if I can help at all!

I had to wrap the nozzle with teflon tape......

capecodjim-albums-pics-picture21393-cap.jpg

... and drill out the cap to accommodate the hose. Don't drill through the little sleeve (not visible in the pic). I found some IV tubing to use on the latest one because it's more flexible. I also wrapped the ends of the hose with teflon and secured them with hot glue. The the cap end is high pressure and needs a good seal.

Best of luck!! Let us know how it comes out! Take some pics!

edit: One the first one I put the hose down a hole near the pump and back up near the atty so the slack can be stored inside the unit. I might put a longer hose on this one and do that... I'm not sure yet.... I have to see how pocket-friendly the mini is now.

................................

Great mod! Nice find on the bottle!

Thanks Mary!! Ya, I lucked out... It wasn't what I thought I was buying, I thought it was smaller and got it to try a bottom feed but it turned out to be perfect for pumping! I like it better than bottom feeding because it's a closed system with no leaks and is pocket friendly.

arent you worried from the heat of the 901 lr atty being so deep in the box idk just my 2 cents lol

No Tim, the atty seems to stay pretty cool. Thanks for asking though, I'll have to check it when I'm chain vaping....

Stop me before I mod again!

I've made two more mods since making the mini. I made a 4 x AA Puck last night because it can vape for days with a full charge and that could come in handy sometime.

The parts for my Tekk mod came in so I made that today! I can charge it with any USB and I can use it to power USB devices.

The Tekk mod.... Once I add a pump it will be the perfect mod!

Thanks Willy! They're nice mods for sure but I never liked the way the bottles stuck out the bottom. I need something a little rugged and pocket friendly and it makes them seem more fragile. Not sure why but it would bug me that I couldn't stand it up...

That mini pump mod is kick'n rad! Can you post a pick of it in your hand (or next to a coin or something) so we can better gauge the size of it? It looks sooooo tiny!

Thanks axolotly! Glad you like it! Here's a pic with a quarter on top. I just have to shorten the hose about an inch. It's been working great!!

wow, looking pretty good. what are you going to name it?

Hmmmmmm Good question! I called it the "mini pump" from the start so maybe that will stick if it's not too generic.... then there's the "PeeWee PV"... or the "Vapa Maka" (in true New England style)...... The tag line "Vapes great, less filling" describes it pretty well also!

Thanks axolotly!!

There were questions about the output of the pump bottle....

I measured the output and it's a perfect 3 drops on each stroke with a 50/50 mix.

The hose I'm using is from a blood collection kit I scavenged from a closed dr's office. I had my eye out for something and got it just for this purpose....

I left the little needle attachment on to test and it put out 4 little drops every stroke. I cut off the needle and it gave 3 regular drops out the hose on each push and was pretty consistent. Same volume, just different sized drops.

It needs a couple seconds to recharge between strokes or two quick presses is really the same as one so it shouldn't flood. I've been pumping into a cart as a buffer and haven't tried dripping. I keep it wet so it vapes like just dripped every hit.

I do longer, slower pumps to avoid the higher pressure of a quick pump on the hose connection. No teflon on this one inside or out. The thinner hose had higher pressure under the cap. No leaks there with the thicker hose. When fitting the hose to the cap I sucked on the other end as I hot glued so it would draw it in and make a good seal. When I had a vacuum I knew there were no leaks.....

Hmmmm... now if I can fit the needle tip right in a bridgeless atty..... there's no off position on the genius switch.... the wheels turn!!!

edit: The pump works great as a dripper too! Press when the vape starts to wane and you're good to go! A full pump stroke doesn't flood the atty and you can always do a half stroke if it does flood as your mileage may vary......

Hose evolution.....

capecodjim-albums-mods-2-picture24303-mini-hose-0.jpg

I started out with a long hose for plenty of flexibility but wanted the unit to be more pocket friendly and didn't want the hose to get snagged. so.....

capecodjim-albums-mods-2-picture24305-mini-hose-2.jpg

I put some notches in the unit and the cover so the hose could be routed inside to keep it secure. That kinda worked but is a little awkward still.

capecodjim-albums-mods-2-picture24304-mini-hose-1.jpg

It kept the hose from flapping around and secured it better.

capecodjim-albums-mods-2-picture24306-mini-hose-3.jpg

Then I went to just a short 1" piece. I can turn the cart to keep the hose snug for travel and turn it towards the pump so there's slack to pump it. It's held up so far and I haven't pulled it out by pumping when it's too tight.....

This unit has a tiny tactile switch on top as the only thing outside except the atty. Less is more.... I didn't need an LED with the tactile switch because you know when it's engaged. The mini's are my main vapes along with my pump-a-puck!

Seems like the 1" hose works best when the atty and pump are very close and routing the hose into the box and up by the atty seems best when they're further apart like in the larger unit.

Nice...now all I have to do is get my hubby to build me one!

Thanks! Glad you like it! They're pretty easy to make. The hardest thing is a couple solder joints and that's not bad at all. PM me if you want one of the little bottles to give him a hint and some motivation or if he has any questions...... You could make one but why do that if you can get him to... lol ;)
