Mini Vivi Nova - bad taste

I'm having a bad experience with this. First fill and hits were fantastic. Using a 1.8 head on my Kgo passthru with a Ice/Ice juice from vape Dudes.
Half way thru startted getting a burnt plastic taste. Put it down for a day or two, went back and it was still same bad taste.
Took it apart today and cleaned, dry burned, let it soak with new juice for a good 20 minutes. But that same after taste and aroma is still there.
My EGO Vision clearomizers are tasting way better than this Nova. Any suggestions?

I'm actually doing some research on this today but so far........
I hear from a few that it's the silica wicks.
Other obvious things are not enough juice, liquid that is too thick (100%VG), Dry wick, Not tipping tank to moisten wicks and so on.

I believe that at times it can simply be the juice but have not run into that myself yet.
