I know this is an old thread, but after 2 bad coils in a clone kit which I took apart the top by the wick, and the coil looked like the metal on these were touching each other and were blackened(so my guess is yes 2 bad coils out of 3) I have one spare which I untwisted the wicks as DaveP suggested(there were four wicks on these) so far so good. I may have to get the real deal Vision Mini Vivi now. The thread on this clone one are fussy and the metal is so much cheaper than the named brand clearomizers that I have.

Not long after I posted this, I ordered a STV Nova from MVS and its an authentic one as well but straight out of the box this thing was doing exactly what the other one was. Nothing but dry nasty hits. Not matter how long I let it sit and wick its still the same bad aftertaste. A waste of good HHV juice. So I've decided that I'm done with novas. I know other people enjoy them but frankly after my experiences I don't see how anyone could. Thank you KangerTech for the Pro Tank. Best thing I'd ever vaped on.

I bought a mini T3 because I wanted something small for my jeans pocket. They are a bit airy- I guess that is just the drawback of a BCC, but they do not get burnt taste. Fortunately they take the same replacement coils as the standard size so I don't need a zillion different various coils in my stash. Guess I should just skip the Vivi's if the Vision one do the same thing and the clones. Thank You Bob for the feedback.
