There is the link he posted. This is what it says:

We also do cut-glass sherry decanters complete with six glasses on a silver-plated tray that your butler can serve you drinks on, all for £4.95. People say, "How can you sell this for such a low price?" I say, because it's total crap. ” He compounded this by going on to remark that some of the earrings were "cheaper than an M&S prawn sandwich but probably wouldn't last as long."

I don't think he was talking about his own product, he has said before that he doesn't think he sells crap that doesn't last as long as a prawn sandwich and it certainly isn't cheap.

I think I get Trog's point with the Ratner quote. Most of the ecigs - and oh so many other things - we buy are cheap crap from China. We know it is cheap crap from China, but we buy it anyhow. As long as we buy it, they will make more cheap crap for us to buy.

We general regard chinese goods as inferior craftsmanship, and yet we send them our money and continue the cycle.

This is an "old" issue. I have read the jaded opinion many times on this forum. I chalk it up to frustration and move on to something that addresses the problem with something that resembles a solution. We will always have jaded and bunnies. That is part of the beauty of a diverse forum. Both extremes have their merit.

silly ...... its not jaded opinion its simple truth.. just truth that aint happy truth.. which is why u ignore it and move on to something more palatable like most do..

somewhere back in this thread someone said a certain item wasnt meant to last it was just a novelty for chrismass.. a well respect brand name product.. thats its potential buyers might assume cos of the products name iwas meant to last..

now to gerald ratner a very rich man.. what he sold was junk.. but to the customers he sold it to it wasnt junk.. junk to some is a desirable product to others.. "junk" is a very relative term..

the ratner link was not aimed at e cigs being cheap chinese junk at all.. it was aimed at the person who has just done what some would call a "ratner"..

if all this is too deep for some which it probably is my apologies.. my humour often is..

so nobody got trogs point.. or its intended humour.. if i was in gerald ratners shoes.. i could well imagine myself saying the same thing..

i think the saying would be "false pride cometh before a fall" as gerald ratner found out...

trog.

yeah i got what you were saying Trog...but its happened before...

i recall Ludo also said the same thing about the Yentl kissbox when it came out...that it was more a novelty item, and not for heavy esmokers-they should get the classic kissbox...and that still didnt stop lots of people buying Yentls...

so i guess he must be confident about his new product line for the heavier esmoker...im sure we all already know theyre going to sell like hotcakes no matter what anyone says anyway...

Hi Everyone,

Wonder if I can get some advice here. I have spent so much on e-cigs I’m trying to avoid making anymore ill-informed mistakes.

I’ve never tried a 901 and was thinking of purchasing one from either shawnp1 or puresmoker and/or the Mini Fogger.

I was concerned that the “Limited Edition” advertised with the Mini Fogger would imply that replacement parts wouldn’t be available for the whole warranty period. Does someone know one way or the other?

In addition I want to make sure that the Mini Fogger doesn’t have that extra button to initiate the atomizer and that the mouthpiece is the rounded type not the pinched one.

I’d appreciate anyone with the patience (if my questions are redundant) and who could answer my questions.

TIA, Nerdy

hi nerdy...
well i think the deal with the fogger is 6 months warranty on atomiser, and 3 months on batteries...maybe you should email jeff at jantyusa to make sure...

theres a video review in the review section...thats the only review im aware of as yet...

its not a button presser like the kissbox, and its got a round mouthpiece...but it is a supermini,so its very small...its smaller than a 901...you also know the deal about minis batteries and carts not lasting as long as penstyles,of course...traditionally,the smaller they get,the less time the cartridges and batteries last before they need recharging and topping up...

janty are bringing out a new model called the dura soon...20 december i think...its supposed to be a rival for the 901...

anyway, the 901 is a very good mini ecig-but it has a whistle type mouthpiece...

Hey,
Thanks for those answers. In one way I thought my questions might have been dumb but I see now maybe not so.

You see when I look at the pics from the various websites, sometimes the 901 appears as if it has the round mouthpiece and then another time it looks like it has the whistle type.

Probably I will wait now for the Dura.

Thanks and

For those of you who bought this....hope your batteries and atomizers last a lonnnggg time! Check those prices! 8-o
Lu
€16 MF battery with 3 month guarantee versus € 9.6 DSE901 battery with 1 month guarante => hands down winner. 6 months with Janty atomizer - € 14 . 1 month with 901 atomizer - € 7.8. The same winner here.

The real killer is Janty shipping cost which more than doubles the price for a battery. I hope that either their Lithuanian affilate with good ship. prices starts selling the spare parts, or that a group of EU based MF owners will buy bulk and distribute among ourselves lowering the costs considerably. We shpuld start a social group thread in about 2.5 months ;)

well i should have said it almost always comes with whistle type mouthpieces...they seem to be the most common by far...

you can get round ones for it also, but they are a bit more rare...i dont know if any USA suppliers have those...

im sure if anyone in the USA knows of any supplier who has the round type theyll let you know here...or ask the supplier youre thinking of using if they carry them...
