Hello friends,
Here's a summary of specific questions. The ramblings after are just the reasons why I want what I want and to explain that I'm not just being difficult because there's a pea underneath my mattress. If you don't read the ramblings, just imagine I'm a vape bear trying to prepare for a long winter.
1) If I'm vaping at < 3 watts, do I still need to worry about high drain vs low drain batteries? Amps should also be no biggie, right? Highest actual mah is what I'm looking for, right?
2) Diver / Sophia / Killer ... are they all that yet or just a great idea? For a 45x19 tank, which, if any, would you get? Think budget. Any good clones? I'd like to have more than one, but can only afford one original, and that's if I get it at a good price. Also everything to make them tick for a year or longer.
3) What's the least offensive flavor you've vaped when you had a headache or nausea? Did anything in particular help?
4) Do you have a hospital bag of stuff just for that reason, or do you pack every time?
5) If the nurses offer you the patch, do you tell them you're ok because you've been vaping since you've been there and they just don't know it?
6) I have a very small RDA that is too harsh on my throat even if I vape VG at 3w. I'm experimenting with using wet cotton as a filter. Any tips to make dripping easier?
Now for the ramblings.
First of all, I would like to thank this community for my perfect blood pressure and healthy sounding lungs. I got that praise from a doctor yesterday who didn't even know I used to smoke. This forum made quitting a reality for me. Even before I joined, I lurked like a kangaroo. You guys share so much knowledge, support, and inspiring personal stories that there's never been a time I didn't have something interesting to read while I fought off my cravings.
This was going to be a long, rambling post. There would have be an islands worth of me wanting what I want to the point that it's so specific, none of you will be able to give me the answer I want because I want to live in Narnia where batteries last five weeks between charges, tanks never leak, and nothing looks like a lightsaber dildo. By the way, that's a hard limit for me. I'll take suggestions, but no tube mods. Just isn't my thing.
I'm getting my life together for the next year or so because I have cancer. Ironically (I think this is an appropriate use of that word, considering the forum), it's not related to my 18 years of smoking. It's treatable, I have an extremely high long term survival chance, and I'm not worried about any of that. I have specific needs and concerns related to vaping because of my current symptoms. Some of the vaping related stuff I'll have to deal with once I'm in treatment I already know about, some will be a fun surprise, and I'm hoping some I'll learn about here.
I love my carto tanks, but PG is just too harsh on my throat. VG gunks up cartos like they're grown on trees, but I'm heading into a very poor period of my life. Go ahead and call me a Princess with a Pea problem, but my mind is pretty set on sticking with a carto tank type setup. I want to keep the length of my tank at a minimum, I need glass because almost every flavor I love cracks plastic, and I want something that works and is consistent as long as I put in the work of making a decent build, so I'm willing to spend more than I would like to now to save frustration and money I won't have down the road. That said, it would be nice (very, very nice) to have a few, so I'd love to hear from people who had good experiences with clones.
I'm putting together a mini mint box mod with the weird ego-t board that goes from 2.8-3.8v. I think with a 3.5ohm build and cotton filter in my mini-rda (which fits perfectly inside), I'll get through the worst of it
Also, outside of the vaping realm, I know some of you have lived life. If anyone wants to share their experiences, tip and tricks... I'd be super grateful.
If not... SQUIRREL!!!
