mint menthol

would anyone know if there is a difference between mint and menthol?
I ran out of juice today and waiting on an order from rocky mountain vapor....I noticed they have a mint and a menthol on their site and was wondering.
I always ordered menthol so i dont know if there is a taste difference.

true menthol is based on eucalyptus (like vic's vapo-rub eucalyptus)

mint is usually spearmint or peppermint or some combination of the two (doublemint)

I have ordered both mint and menthol from rocky mountain and there is a difference. The juice from them is my 2nd favorite and by far the best price.

Actually TTRP ..I'm afraid that's not quite right. While it is true that the usual 'Mint' flavors are ordinarily NOT the same as the Menthol flavors... the confusion often arises because of the actual source of true menthol.

well, I tell ya, Fisch, you taught me something today! for all these 40 years I've believed that menthol was not a mint, but it appears it is, in fact, just that! At least a particular species of mint. And Indian too boot?! And, has some of the same bacterialcidal properties of eucalyptus! (that's good to know) I guess the little aussie koalas have nothing more to fear for losing their eucalyptus trees to smokers then!

I stand corrected. mentha Arvensis it is!

so i got the mint today, finally. well, its almost the same except this has a sweeter taste and scent. its good! i like it.

I use both flavors. Both are great.
Mint is sweeter with the tang of spearmint and peppermint mixed. I think of it as a generic mint.
Menthol has a similar flavor to mint but has a heck of a lingering cooling sensation and much more throat hit.

Love my double flavor Menthol. It doesn't have a throat hit. It's more like a throat kick. Triple flavor menthol will make your eyes tear up.

I'm also currently vaping menthol from Rocky Mountain and have some mint too. I like them both, there is a difference but both are good, the mint is my backup to menthol.
was only a menthol smoker 30 yrs ago but find that I like these flavors now over the 'tobaco' flavors from rmv that I'm used to.
Maybe a true menthol ex smoker can better give advice to a better one but for me it's great.

I find that menthol also carrys more of that cool fresh feeling than the mint.
but the mint obviously packs more taste.
