Not a lot of people use carts anymore these days given that there are so many other options that work better.

Really? The 510sand the 910s are not popular? I am an extreme noob but I've done a lot of reading on this forum and I've read a lot about them. On the other hand the first one I bought after finding this forum was a GOGO Pro from Cig Easy. I absolutely love it! I do want to try another type though since the only other e-cig I have tried was the first one I bought, a spur of the moment purchase at a gas station of a Nicotek e-cig that comes with cartridges. I have been refilling the cartridges to try out different flavors. I was looking at the Joye Ego-T 1000mAh starter kit, but I don't know the practical difference between the type A and type B cartridges? Is this a good choice? Any suggestions? I was a heavy smoker, I am a heavy vaper so the longer lasting units appeal to me. The GoGo Pro lasts me 2 days between charges(1300mAh battery).

Well, 510 and 901 are thread types particularly, so anything that threads into them is a "510 [something]" or "901 [something]". However cartridges are kind of a pain in the ..... They generally don't work nearly as well as most cartomizers, requiring frequent top-offs, and those who still use atomizers mostly use them for dripping. (This does not include tank systems, incidentally.)

The GoGo has a pretty good following and a lot of people regard it as a great eGo clone. I've seen a few complaints of the button sinking into the housing and becoming difficult to press, but those seem to be relatively isolated.

The eGo-Ts have their following. I tried them (both A and B tanks) but they just did not work out well for me at all. There were some minor leaking issues, but my main problem with them was that if they didn't burn through their wicks in short order, they just didn't produce much vapor. I never tried the LR tank atties though so they may have improved. I just couldn't bring myself to like them, despite trying -- 7 A type tanks and 4 B-type tanks later.

Speaking of A and B tanks, the difference is size. A types are cone atomizers that use the smaller carts. B types are cylinder atomizers (same diameter all the way as the eGo) and use the larger type B tanks.

If you want long battery life, the GoGo is a good choice. Personally though, for the budget-minded, I'd go with an E-Power 14500 or 18650. They're larger, with the 14500 coming in with a 1050mAh battery and the 18650 (TrustFire) available in 2400mAh. (Batteries are sold separately I believe.) They're inexpensive, modular (so you can repair a specific part that dies if you need to) and if you don't mind the size of the 18650, you'll literally get days of vaping out of it before the battery cacks out. Pair it with an eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer (may need an eGo adapter) and you've got a good day to day and a half of vaping on a fresh fill and charged battery -- and even then the battery should last through at least another full fill before it needs to be charged.

Who makes the E-Power 14500 or 18650? I haven't heard about those. There are thousands of pages here, it is a serious challenge to wade thru all this. You say they are inexpensive, I paid $50. for a GOGO Pro starter kit, is that expensive(relatively speaking)? The Ego-Ts were $70.-80. if I recall correctly. I like the battery readout for the GOGO-Pro, it gives me a handle on how long it will last. I like the idea of the Ego-T tank system, you just have an empty tank-no wicks or filler or anything so they should last! I don't particularly want to buy one of everything, I just want one or two that work! Are there suppliers who carry most, if not all, of the different kinds of e-cigs?

Pops has the linky to the E-Power 14650, so $50 will get you the whole kit 'n kaboodle. The biggest advantages here are the cheap replaceable batteries ($6 for a single 14650 from MadVapes if you need more), and each part of the E-Power is replaceable individually, including the switch assembly, so if something gets lost or broken you can just replace that part, not the whole unit.

Also, the black version is on sale right now for $40.
