After dinner last night I watched the whole Johnny Cash Christmas Show...there are actually 3 on YT....I think I like the 1970 better(Roy Orbison sings Pretty Paper), but I love them all...so I watched them all...........

Jerry Lee Lewis is one of my favorite rock & roll people to watch.....he go's crazy wild when he plays.....I love that he did some Christmas songs Blue Christmas is almost as good as Elvis(Note that I said ALMOST)....But I love the song..

I think my Christmas shopping this year is about over. Spent $700 yesterday and this morning online for my boys. I used to really enjoy going out and shopping on Black Friday, but over the years the retailers have made such a mess of it (starting on Thursday, for example), that now I don't even leave the house as I can get the same deals online most of the time.

One of my favorite shows of all time. I have this and several other Britcoms on dvd. We have watched all the episodes of Are You Being Served? so many times that I think we know them word for word yet we never tire of them or fail to laugh.

Meant to post this yesterday, but company arrived, food appeared on tables, and, well, there was just so much of it...! Not my favorite song from the album (I prefer the title track), but here's one by Jon Anderson and Vangelis from 1981:

We really don't get snow here in Central Louisiana, and when we do get some overnight, it's usually gone the next day. Therefore, we don't have horse-drawn sleighs and jingle bells here. So I wrote a modified version of Jingle Bells.
Driving down the road
In a souped up Chevrolet
O'er the hills we go
Laughing all the way
Aoogah horn is loud
It makes our spirits bright
It really scares a crowd at times
As they run out of sight!
Oh, Oogah horn, Oogah horn
Blaring all the way
Oh! what fun it is to ride
In a souped up Chevrolet
A day or two ago
I thought I’d take a ride
And soon my sexy babe
Was seated by my side
An engine backfire roared
She jumped and then fell back
We hit a bump that slid her near
So she road in my lap
Oh, Oogah horn, Oogah horn
Blaring all the way
Oh! what fun it is to ride
In a souped up Chevrolet
This Chevy’s out of sight
