I thought I was getting a good deal on a good e cig when I purchased 2 leo starter kits. Now, I'm not so sure. I watched several reviews on you tube before I made my choice. The first leo was great right out of the box. It's a good looking unit with a nice throat hit, and plenty of vapor. Day 1 was very impressive indeed. By the end of day 2, the atty just seemed to stop wicking. I would top off the cart, get 3-4 good hits, then a very harsh throat hit as if the atty was dry. The funny thing is I can still get massive amounts of vapor, just can't stand to inhale it. I tried the other starter kit, with the same results, only this one started out bad and got worse. Three drops and the cart was full again. I blew both attys dry, primed with 3 drops of new juice, in a new cart, ended up with the same results. I sent my supplier an e mail, but have not heard from them as of this posting. I am able to drip with both attys and it is very good. Maybe the leo is good for dripping, but I believe they have a serious problem with thier attys. The leo is a monster when it is working good. I would like to think the manufacturers would have this down to a science by now, but apparently they have'nt. I would like to hear from other leo owners and get their thoughts and comments. As of now, I can't honestly recommend it to anyone. rsmith76:(

Tried a new cart, plus new juice, all with the same results. Blew the atty dry and primed with fresh juice, same results. It does work good using the dripping method, I just never thought I would be a fan of dripping. All of the reviewers must have gotten a better unit than I did. Mine is flat on the bottom, and the batteries are sealed, so it's not all bad. rsmith76

I'm not sure what's up with your Leo. I've had mine for over a month now. I actually have two - I got a great deal on the second kit. I use Fluval in the whistle tip carts that came with the two kits I bought. I didn't like the tobacco that was in the carts to begin with, so I just pulled the filler out, washed out the carts, and put my own Fluval in them. I have used many different juices in them, including some from FSUSA and The Vapor Room. I have not had any issues with my Leos at all. I get great flavor and vapor from them. I haven't dripped much with them because I was having issues with flooding the attys. I actually like using the carts on these because I can put 20 drops or so in them, and they last for about 20-30 puffs. I don't know if there is any difference in the Leos from other suppliers, or if they have changed anything about the way they are made, but like I said, mine have been performing quite well. I hope you get yours working better as well!

Same here - read the reviews, bought two kits. And...if I use the carts, which I really like btw for the capacity...three hits or so, then dry and acrid. Ick. Dripping works really well with these, but I do find that they will flood, and contrary to what I read, the atties will leak in my experience.
The Fluval mod sounds like a winner. But what size should the Fluval be cut? I've only used blue foam mods on 510 carts before.

Wicking is an issue with any cartridge based juice "dispenser" and atomizer combo. Same problems with the 510's also, just a smaller cartridge. I use my Leo on occasion, but what I do is make sure the atty is primed well, and the cartridge is topped off. Vape it a bit. Take the jewel end off the battery and stand it up so the cartridge can use gravity to help keep the atty wet. I also will change over to fluval. Between the two methods, I am able to keep the atty wet enough to vape without letting it get dry. However, if doing this, do not leave it standing up on the battery over night!

Not all atomizers are equal- even different atties from the same manufacturer have vastly different characteristics and lifetimes.

I have seen this type of behavior with a number of atties that were just defective. It wasn't related to the manufacturer.

The other time I have seen this is when the atty is way too saturated from loose filler or condensation from the atty walls falling back on the atomizers. Blowing out does not always clear them. In this situation an ispropyl alcohol bath, 24 hour dry, and reprime solved the problem. However some atomizers seem more prone to being "over saturated" that others. And if an atty done this once- it may do it again.

That's been my experience. Your mileage may vary. My most consistent experiences have been with Joyetech atties or Riva 901 atties.

I don't have an exact measurement to give you on the Fluval, but what I do is cut some that is about the length of the empty part of the cart, and then I usually have to trim some off the top. I make sure that the Fluval doesn't completely fill up the cart. I drop about 12 drops in the empty cart, then put the Fluval in, then top it off.

I bought my Leo from COV and the first atty just died on me after almost 3 months.
The second one I bought was from lite cigs or alt cigs I forgot and it went out after 2 weeks but I just gave them both a bath in grain alcohol and one is still going strong.
I never used the cartos that came with the kit I only and always dripped with it.
Which one I haven't a clue but my first battery from COV has also died.
Fortunately Bruce had another to send me because, I love the Leo!
I'm curious as to where you all bought your Leo's from?

I would like to give the supplier ample time to give me a response. I believe he has a good reputation, and I don't want to discredit him in any way. As long as I drip, this thing works great. I have not had any leaking issues yet, and hope I don't. I realize all suppliers pretty much sell the same goods. What I expect is customer service. That is what will keep one supplier ahead of the rest. I hope you understand my position. I just don't want to slam a supplier without giving them time to respond to the situation.

The cartridges can be a little tough. No manufacturer that I am aware of has come up with a great cartridge. Hold the jewel end down while you are not vaping and you will see a difference.

The Leo cartomizers are coming soon and if they perform as well as the boge 510 cartos they might solve the problem.

cool, good to know..thanks:)
