Well, last year I took up vaping and stuck with it through winter, then back to cigs, and this winter I ordered a mod and have been back to vaping. It would be nice to quit cigs but I have no goals other than to enjoy vaping. That being said, I have enjoyed vaping much more now that I don't have to worry about battery life, just topping off the cart throughout the day. I've gone several times without cig for 20-30 hours without giving it a second thought. My downfall is the button on my mod is inconsistent. I have to futz with it sometimes to make it work, hence smoking a cig as I type this. I get frustrated and feel like I'm fighting to get a good vape when I want it, then although I really want to vape I'll say "screw it" and have a smoke because cigarettes always work without any fuss.

Anyone else have these sorts of problems getting into vaping? Seems like finding reliable hardware can be expensive and aggravating.

The button on my USB pass-through seems to be doing the same thing and it's only two months old. I spent just $13 on it so it's not a huge expense and I have my extra batteries. I think I'll buy a bunch of cartos with my next PT, but I will never smoke again because of my health... snus maybe, but never cigarettes. Good Luck.

I had some issues at the start or I would have quit about 6 weeks sooner. :( Batteries, carts, etc. I now make sure that I have extras of everything. :2cool:Youre right, it was sometimes easier to smoke than vape. I'm to the point now that I'll do with out if I can.
Hey, ScotTex, I've chewed in the past so now if I have a problem with some equipment it doesn't bother me to use a couple drops of e-juice to get me by while i figure out the problem. It's about like chewing.

I do know exactly what you are talking about. You definitely have to have good working equipment/hardware and backup with you at all times. Koo dos to you for trying again. Are you able to replace the button yourself? Or perhaps make some extra MOD's up with a better rated button to have...or even a friend who could do for you?

Thanks. I have used chew, dip & snus (very rarely), but I do enjoy the flavor.
I (probably) wouldn't put my e-juice directly in my mouth as I've had a few bouts of sore spots already just from the drip-tip contact. I might add some to a snus pouch just to kick-up the nicotine level a bit. I try to vape low-nic-juice on my PT and hit the strong liquid on my batts when I'm away from home.

That's a good goal. It's the one I had which led me to "accidentally" quit smoking.

My suggestion would be to bump to a slightly higher nicotine level. Let your body get accustomed to the nicotine=vape thing. I discovered one day while smoking a cigaterette that it wasn't satisfying my craving so I snuffed it and vaped some Tastyfinger.

Having hardware that's not spazzing out on you is good though. I've personally not had a PV malfunction though I did break my second one.

Rule number one. Backups of everything. It doesn't seem to matter what pv I am using, one or the other will be a PITA at some point. Either the carto is burnt tasting, the battery is low, the juice is yuck, no vapor no flavor, etc. You get the point. Get different kinds of pv and attys, cartos, etc and you should be able to find something to get you through until the darn things start working well again.
