behind you.
in the end, it was as easy as Sunday morning.........without a hangover. lol

looking back, i have been wanting to quit analogs for years and tried many things. the patch, nico mints, nico gum, welbutrin, chantix, cold turkey. and none of them worked. although, i have to say, the dreams on the chantix were absolutely phenomenal! anyway, a friend of mine, the guy i thought would never quit started using the blue e cig with success. it took me a few months of him telling me about his accomplishments to finally walk into my local vape shop and purchase an ego starter kit with some extras. i made the $100+ purchase with a bunch of doubt. i got home, got everything together and well, after 28 years of smoking analogs, i haven't looked back. i'm about to hit my five month mark in a few days and couldn't be happier. I've also upgraded my mods which has made this entire process so much better!

I have been smoke free for 11 days now.
I didn't want to give up. I enjoyed my cigarettes. I loved my smoke.
I did think though whats all the fuss with the vaping malarky then? I knew I should give up but just never wanted to.
So, I ordered and ego and an evod and 10ml of liquid. Nothing ventured and nothing gained. Lets see what the fuss is all about.
So I puffed away and thought, well this is weird but not too bad. I found that I wasn't craving the fags either too.
Then my battery went flat and I panicked. I ended smoking my last 4 cigarettes!! But when my battery was charged again I did say to myself, if I don't let my battery go flat again lets see how long I can go without buying cigarettes.
That was 11 days ago...................still no ciggies in my possession and enjoying vaping more than smoking!!!!! Gosh I never expected that!!!!

What about you?

Awesome!!! I'm about 150 days in myself and have never felt better!!!!

I had been smoking for 10 years plus. I know that's not near the time some had smoked but it was enough time to feel the torture they brought. I like you loved smoking it was ritualistic in a sense. after my cup of coffee in the morning, after every meal, before and after sleep, any time I was bored or anytime it had been awhile. I had become a big online gamer which most become fat from it. I wasn't going to let hat happen. I wanted to start going to the gym and quit smoking. Simply because of the breathing problems and knowing what it was doing to my body. I tried to quit cold turkey.... I didn't sleep for 4 days, I was angry all the time and I probably was awful to be around. I had heard of E-cigs and decided I was gonna make the leap. I tried the Njoy disposables. Liked the flavor and hated the vapor production. I tried the Blu starter kit it was ok but just tasted like flavored water vapor with no throat hit. I tried the Swisher brand they just plain sucked. Tried the Njoy King full flavor, and loved it. Then it went dead in 2 hours. Although it did I had realized something when reading the packaging. 24mg E-juice. I then knew I had to have that 24mg juice to get what I wanted from vaping. I watched hours upon hours of youtube videos and read forum posts. I bought my first eGo kit and some 24mg juice. Loved it. I used it for quite sometime but interest in more vapor had taken my mind over. Doing more and more research I had decided to buy the iTaste MVP 2.0 mod. I loved it even more, but as you know over time the i16s were not cutting it anymore and I bought an EVOD clearo. Started from the get go recoiling it myself and wicking with cotton while using 100% VG. I knew I was close to home. Used it for months and came the day I wanted a rebuildable. Bought an IGO-L and was not that impressed. I posted here in ECF for some help. A couple of nice gentlemen helped me trouble shoot my issues. I drilled the hole out to a 1/16th hole size, built a 2ohm coil, wicked it with cotton and started my first lung inhales. At the moment I am in absolute vaping heaven. Will I continue the quest of clouds? Probably so, but for the moment I am happy, smoke free, hitting the gym and living a better life. Grimm Green, Rip Trippers, Indoor Smokers, Thesmokinjoey and the happy people here at ECF changed my life..... Funny the button says "Post Quick Reply" but man that was a long one

I was a roll your own, 3 pack a day smoker for 37 years.
Ditto here except I paid RJ Reynolds to roll mine.

OP: I did my first 10 days on Blu Cigs, 2 tiny batteries one of which only worked if you smoked it straight up like a flag pole. (My neck still hurts). But I think I knew I had this licked after a week or so. Congrats!

I have no intention giving smoking up yet.
Bought the vap because i travel a lot and hate not being able to smoke in the plane and in smoke free hotels.
I just noticed i didnt smoke a cigarette since i bought my vap 5 Hours ago. That would normally not happen.

well continue with not smoking cigs then ;)

I was thinking about it, but wasn’t hoping to have found an alternative I was just experimenting, but sure enough found vaping was the way to go, and aside from the odd ... now and again pretty much gave up and haven't been officaly a smoker since

I loved cigarettes, and my love for them was why I never managed to give up because I didn’t really deep down want to, but vaping lets me do what I loved but better.

Congrats there. Not me, it was an accident. I bought an ecig on a whim near the holidays. I looked up one day and realized the pack a day turned into a pack every few days, then 2 cigs a day. It hit me one day I was quitting with out really trying, holy crap! I can quit? I tried every method known to man with dismal failure and with a few weeks of vaping I'm done. It's been 8 days with zero smokes and nobody wants me committed.

Yes, absolutely. Over 40 years I had tried every method, product, etc they ever invented. I thought it was hopeless until I found vaping. I still cheated a bit for the first month but only first thing in the morning to get a quick fix but I preferred vaping right off the bat. I've now cut my nic down to 10% from the 36% I started at and it's still going down. I'll keep vaping when I hit 0 because after all those years I still enjoy the relaxation of the activity. The best part I'm still looking forward to is doing it because I want to....not because I have to. I once rowed 4 miles upstream in a canoe to get to the only store in the area for smokes when mine got wet and we were out for the weekend. Never again.

I was sick of smoking after 34 yrs of the filth, but had no intention of giving up, was walking past a market stall with some guy selling rip off ego kits and cos i was a little early for my appointment, i stopped and asked him if i could try one, had a puff and was so impressed by its ability to make me cough like a noob i bought one and haven't smoked since. I haven't kept track of the days/months but that was around August/Sept last year :)

On purpose for sure. I was tired of paying for the privilege to kill myself. I always looked at smoking as an IQ test... one I failed miserably. I have never been able to quit for any length of time at all.
Saving money and getting rid of the nagging feeling I was being dumb have made it well worth it. I dont feel like I gave up anything as I enjoy my vape in doors and not one complaint from the family confirms it.

I was committed this time and am a happy man. It took a week or two but I cant imagine lighting up when the vape is such a satisfying option.

I am very grateful I found it, or it found me.
