Mixing Question. pg, peg, vg? too confusing!

Hi guys! I am sure this has been asked a million times and i did try to find a thread with the answer before I posted......
I am buying a bottle of 36mg flavorless liquid. PG. (that im planning to add flavors too)
First off, I do not vape that high. Im usually around the teens. Just simply what do i need to mix this stuff properly?
Everyone does it differently and every mixing calculator I find has different values. (most of them also say vodka and water? my vet vaper friend who is my mentor (ha!) doesnt add water or vodka.
How can I do this simply?
All these p and g's really confuse me!!!!!

im under the impression you buy the nicotine, dilute it with ?? and add your flavor. There are just too many choices in front of my face right now!

What blend do you like? I like no more than 60/40 PG/VG and no lower than 70/30. If I was to buy nic juice that was 100% PG and wanted it to be 60/40 then I would have to add a certain % or ml of VG to make it that. If you like 100% PG then add no VG to the mix to thin the nic down just add PG. This is where the calculator you like to use comes in handy. PGA is usually added for either TH or to thin out VG not the PG which is almost as thin as water.

Generally you dilute nicotine liquid with either PG or VG. Some will use PGA (pure grain alcohol) or distilled water in their mixes as well. Some flavorings (usually oils) are not water soluble so you need alcohol in order to mix those flavors properly. I wouldn't recommend using those flavorings though until you have a bit of practice under your belt.

I dont even know what blend means! Seriously I dont. Ive had all this explained to me and it just seems my little brain cant handle it. (ive noticed men totally get into this) What I like is good flavor and good vapor. If that helps! Probably doesnt.

Blend refers to the ratio of PG to VG. PG provides lower vapor but increased Throat hit. VG provides little to no TH but clouds of vapor. You could do either at 100% or mix the ratio to suit your needs. To me 100% of either is to extreme for me.

What premade juices have you tried, they should list the ratio either on the bottle itself or their website? Some websites don't list it at all but most do.

Ive been using totally wicked's stuff and the dekang (cheap stuff) because I am literally addicted to their red bull. To me i like good flavor and vapor. I think Ill just try mixing it all and just see what knocks me out of the chair! I can mix teeny amounts and see which one I like. If this helps I am vaping dekang energy cow right now, out of a tank cart. When I fill it up I add two drops of glycerine and it gives me a nice vapor. Yeah......probably shouldnt even be doing that!

As far as I know all the dekang juices are 100% PG. Like you said mix it in small batches and find out what you enjoy. The right ratio is pretty is to get to, its the flavors that will drive you mad.

I just got started with DIY couple weeks ago and went with other ECF members recipes to start with that sounded good. I am now just starting to explore with it a little bit now. It feels a lot better to be more involved with the making of juices vs just buying premades. I will however always have some BWB on hand and in my daily rotation.

Just keep reading the threads here, it'll sink in eventually.
Don't worry about the Vodka & water , you don't use that unless you decide you need an extra throat hit or you like very high vg juice.

All excellent advice.
As you said, you can make teeny amounts. So that's a good start to determine how to go from there.
Start small with a 50% PG and 50% VG.

That works on Windows with .net. You can run Windows on a modern Mac (through Bootcamp or VirtualPC etc.) or use one of the online calculators. If you want a very fully featured calculator that runs in Excel, OpenOffice etc. then try this - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...e-calculator-added-quantity-calculations.html I have used it in OpenOffice (Linux) and it appears to work but it's been designed with Excel in mind. OpenOffice is of course available and free for Mac.
