I've got some taps coming. I'm going to rethread one of my bottom tubes so I can use a rethreader ring on it.

Be sure to let us know how it goes, and the tap size needed... If this works, I can see a nice brass telescope tube for the MKB-TS in my future.. :)

Sorry to have confused... the gg rethreader fits to mkb extension tube & will adapt mkb parts to work with the gg bottom tube. That's what i was trying to say.

This turned my gg stealth into a TS & eliminated the teletube.

I've gone frankenmod & don't know what thread to be in anymore.:)

I just discovered 69 parts share some gg compatibilies also!

The strange thing is I have a gg brass teletube - it doesn't mate with the mkb extension tube. It does fit my rainbow stealth cap, and mkb collector tank assembly. I know they should all be the same, but there is a unique ridge inside the mkb ext tube female side. Even tho the gg teletube won't fit the mkb ext sleave the gg rethreader does - just not to the mkb bottom tube.

I have a brass gg ext tube on the way. That hopefully will work arround for me to have more gg bottom to mkb upper option. At this time i cannot telescope full size ggmkbts.

Maybe you guys can retap bothe female sections of mkb for brass tele's

I think most of us don't use the spring. I took the one from my gg too.

Remove yours, if you still have trouble start looking at the firing sw.

Where can I get a spring for it? I'm having some inconstant connection with mine and I think it might be the spring. It's the only thing I can think of that is wrong.

I have an mkb-ts and oddy clone coming in the mail, ive got a couple 18650's/500's/350's but all aging and feel I should nab a few new bats for my new mod.

I keep hearing praise about some panasonic obtronics or something like that. But I see them in 2900mah high drain, 3200mah, and other mah rattings and they are all like 15 bucks each.

Which ones are best for our use? The high drain 2900?

Any good deals on them or other batts I should consider?
Thanks

Ever tried them obtonics or whatever they are called? I think I read they put out 4 or more volts at the atty connections when freshly charged and stays at higher volts for a long time, and seen a graph that they last twice as long and dont get a sharp dropoff when drained.

They have em on ebay... I think I searched "panasonic 18650" they are black.

They are a hybrid battery and sound good just wondered if anyone tried them n if they are worth the price

Well I got my Nautilus going. I'm using the 510 connection for now because last night I had a little trouble while trying to get it set up on the MKB-TS; I was working on getting the post adjusted to meet the +post on the MKB, and in the pocess I broke my coil, in a couple of places, so I set up another coil and decided to just run it on the 510 for a while....I wanted to vape it. Now I'm running a couple of tanks through it, it's breaking in nicely, good flavor. I'll get the GGTS base on it tomorrow I think. I look at it this way- I'll now have the 510 experience so when I get it set up correctly on the MKB-TS I'll be able to tell the difference. All's well. I'm really enjoying it!

On the graph look at the time where it drops to below 3.7 volts, on a mechanical the rest is not too important.

The Panasonic 2250 is the Orbtronic 2250, the 2900 is not the hybrid you mentioned so skip that one.
Tick 5 and 7 amps

The graph on my galaxy note 2 shows up empty :(

Still trying to research what would be best for a mech mod.

I also just ordered a very nice $10 18650 flashlight (ultrafire 502b) youtube reviews are pretty amazing for a ten dollar flashlight.

I figure I can get use out of my older bats in it plus its nice to have around being rechargeable and it has hi, low, med and strobe..... ok that was a weird offtopic hijack

Sorry lol

Oh I remember what I wanted to ask....

My mkb will be here sat...

Ive seen people are having issues with the button and using copper shim.... I have a roll of copper tape somewhere thats used in electronics for repairing circuit traces.

Its about a 1/4" wide and about as thick as paper maybee a little thicker... wondering if this would work well? Not sure if one wrap would do it but suppossedly the adhesive used on the sticky side is conductive.

Im just not sure what part needs this shim? Is it the plunger inside the button housing? Could the adhesive possibley make me loose voltage vs if I used thin copper or brass material that didnt have the sticky back?

They say the orbtronics are great for sub ohm mech mods. This mkb is my first true mechanical mod, im having a hard time understanding why alot of people use a sub ohm coil... I know its a hotter vape but I cant see like a .5 ohm coil.... what is it- 1 wrap of kanthal?

Im not knocking anyone who does run these extremely low ohm setups... just trying to learn, my mkb and oddy clone will be here soon so ill get to play around with it and stop asking somany questions ;-)

Bishop who did that batt thread is a very advanced user and very few vapers here on ecf use anything below .6 ohms and usually it would be dual coils... that said, yep from .8 to 1.0 ohms is a common resistance for rba's... and that's after you go through the hoops of learning to wrap coils with 32g in LR (1.1 to 2.0)...
if you don't create a short and are pretty confident, make sure to use a meter like an ohms reader.
The reason why... because its a better vape. more flavor and vapor..

i know it goes against the old school grain but believe it....
