@ villarino1k, just a question, I guess you are using some sort of 510 adapter between the MKB's 510 to reach to the top, probably brass, is this right?

Anyone got an idea on how I could take off my top cap of the collector? It's stuck and can't get it unscrewed. My atty is also stuck! When I screwed em in, they went on smooth so I know I didn't mess it up.
I've tried putting it in the freezer. No luck. Soaked it in wd40. No luck either ;(
Rubber gloves, this rubber stretchy thing used for rehab patients after surgery, you name it im sure ive tried itHave you tried rubber gloves? Maybe set up the Atty with a low res coil and fire it up to warm up the connections and threads then using rubber gloves undo them.
yeah i tried locking pliers as well, i had a few in the tool box and it still didnt work. it actually scratched it up already but that was the least of my worries. I also took apart the atty but put it all back before i took the picture.1st: take apart as much of the AGA-t2 as you can, should be left with a base and post main thing remove the tank.
2nd, use two pairs of locking pliers. Use an old cloth or denim to prevent scratches. clamp one on the Aga base, other on the gold ring.
3rd: twist.
I found locking pliers at Home Depot for about $3.50 each.. They are a god send for these situations.

I feel your pain, Bro. You'd crack up if you saw how skittish I was handling this thing, as I really don't want to mess it up too. Just like you, the first time I tried to take the gold top off, it wouldn't budge. I wrapped it in paper towel and used plyers to get it loose. I'm an idiot... I should have used a towel or something else because I scratched my gold top.
Now, have you removed the MKB pin (under collecter tank) in your bottom picture? If not, were is it??? With my aga t flush mounted, the pin extends out about 5mm. If it's still in there mostly all the way up, I don't even want to think were that adapter pin has ended up.![]()
