I'm liking this mod more every day. :) It's like having one of my long sold GGTS back, and not having to worry about scratching it up. ;)

I've been rockin' the MKB-TS with an AGA-T 2 set up with XC-116 ceramic wick. I've been through my share of SS mesh and silica builds, but.... The XC-116 is blowing me away. :vapor: I'm getting thick clouds of vape, and the flavor of my tobacco blends are better than I ever had in 2 1/2 years of vaping. VERY clean. This stuff wicks fast too, and is a breeze to build. :D

Is the v2 Adapter worth buying for us brick handed people? over at vapourtrend for $10, it seems like the center pin is now adjustable, and looks more the real GGTS adapter, except in the picture it shows a SS center pin :p

I'm wondering if the real GGTS adapter brass center pin will fit into this.

I guess there is only one way to find out

I think a German outfit had it made for them in China (I think)

My first and second Term's, standard size, came in a small box that said "China"

A German company owns the Chinese factory that makes the MKB, or like you say, I'm pretty sure of this . This is a million times better than a chinese owned factory, I work for a Chinese owned factory here in the Usa running their US sales, so know how they work.

While I am immensely enjoying the MKB-TS, high props should be given to GG (Imeo) for designing the GGTS. When the GGTS arrived on the scene, most of us vapers were using attys, and then cartos. The GGTS was designed around these to become the ultimate e-cig. The telescopic sections, floating firing pin, the collector tank to catch excess leaked juice, working adjustable draw, etc..

Hmmmm.. The MKB-TS / Terminator are made in a German-owned Chinese factory... Explains alot regarding the hefty SS, nice machining and consistency on these. I'm seriously considering purchasing another before DV runs out of what they have left.

Oddy was there too on the end of that GGTS. Oddy must be at least 6 years ago

The Odysseus came out after the iAtty 2... I don't think it's been around much over a year. (if that long)

The MKB-TS seems to polish-up quite well. I gave mine a light go over with some Mother's. It came out with a nice SS luster which isn't a fingerprint magnet. I'll probably mirror polish the next one for piss n' giggles though..:p

I came up with this, I really thought Oddy was much older but I sure went sideways on that.

Yo Vego, I'm very opinionated in this area so naturally I'll blab my face off about it as if to make you see it my way. Since I know this about myself, and can't seem to control it, I no longer feel bad when people take some advice and leave the rest.

Each of the different metals have there own individual considerations, and one must also consider how the different metals affect each other. Two diff. metals touching one another is not the same as a single metal standing on its own. This is because all metals carry varying degrees of electrical charge. Two dissimilar charges making contact creates a tiny current, that accelerates the effects of corrosion.

Fortunately, the MKB is built primarily of some "less reactive" metals: brass, and stainless steel. So ultimately the maintenance is low.

So, the Noalox's primary purpose is to prevent the reaction between two dissimilar touching. It also helps lubricate threads to prevent galling and seizing. It also happens to be conductive. However to even begin to think it's conductive more so than solid metal is a complete misnomer. There has been way too much promise made about "tuning up" mech mods with paste. The true reason people see better performance after pasting up is because they effectively closed the gaps in the fittings of loose tolerances. This effect wears out in a week or two after a good deal of the noalox from the tube has now evaporated - what's left behind is disgusting.

On that note, I can't recommend noalox on the MKB. Just read an MSDS for the stuff, and you'll realize it doesn't belong on things you handle with your hands and face. Also the MKB has tight enough tolerances and enough thread depth to make enough contact, that noalox should be a minimal and temporary improvement.

Do however lube your threads with petroleum jelly. There is a fancy kind that is FDA approved and has PTFE. I'll have to dig out the bottle to tell you exactly.

Number one consideration for electrical conductivity is clean, shiny, u-oxidized, uncoated or greesed, fresh metal. ANYTHING else in between a joint between metals causes resistance.

About twice a week, I take a small pocket nife, like "The Oldtimer", and scrape the brown off my brass switch. Then I sand the bottom cap axis. I would do similar with the center post, but I keep replacing mine outright. Just lightly scraping the brown off always kicks the MKB back into gear.

Otherwise just keep it clean and don't expose it to salt water.

Has anybody seen the MKB listed on e-smokeireland? It looks like it has the gold bat spring, but it also looks like they have changed the collection tank and top cap. I can't tell exactly what I'm looking at in the picture but it looks like a 510 connection surrounded by a big drip well and the rim of the drip well is now the gold top cap. Or maybe they just changed the top cap and included an adapter? But it doesn't say an adapter is included so I'm not sure. Have a look and tell me if I'm crazy.

Again I'll say it makes me glad I got an early eddition with the GG style collector tank and moving post. Just got my Odysseus GG base for my Terminator the base screwed right on nice and smooth...didn't have to deepen the threads or anything.

Edit: I just did a little back checking of earlier posts (been out of town for a week) and I think this might have the collector tank shown in post #255. But that gold cap is different still I think...like it's opened up around the 510 connection. I guess I have to look at it as if I was not trying to use a GG atomizer base...If that was the case this might be a better design for some people...just not for me.

Exactly... I would hate to be the vendors fielding e-mails regarding folks driving the GG-style pin through their attys & cartos...

The changes will be welcome to the majority of vapers, I'm sure. Personally, I very much like the original, full GGTS design. I'm looking forward to having the solid connection to the Terminator, and full use of the air control. ;) I'm really hoping the manufacturer is working on a copy of the Ithaka at the same quality, and similar pricing as the Terminator.

While copies of GG devices, these devices (MKB-TS v1 / Terminator) fill a need for folks who want very good quality gear at an affordable price. I'm not worried about keeping these pristine for future resale value, they are well-machined SS, durable, and work very closely to Imeo's (GG) design.

Thanks for the detailed explaination, upsetter. I've developed a love affair with noalox ever since using it on my Provari, which was acting wonky, and fixed the problem completely.

But you've given what I needed to know. Just a knife and some sandpaper twice a week. Sounds good to me.

im havin trouble buying noalox....where do u buy it i desperately need to lube...
mods...lol
