The first time I tried it, I had the same experience on my very first draw. After sticking with it a while it started to mellow and the different nuances of the juice became more pronounced. It is really strong on a fresh tank refill (atty) but i think that as the juice warms from firing the wick, it transforms the flavor into a mature, mellow, citrus taste.

You can cut it with straight pg/vg if it's too much for you. You'll reduce the nicotine content of course, but you'd be doing the same with cutter, without really cutting the intense flavor.

So for less nicotine and the same flavor, use cutter
For less nicotine AND flavor, use straight vg/pg. Pluid starts as a 50/50 mix before flavorings, as per Watch and MMR himself, if you're looking to keep the texture the same.

Just get some 50/50 unflavored in your preferred nic and cut it to your taste with that. The cutting liquid really does not reduce the intense flavor. It does mellow with warming but, if you run cotton wicks, it's probably too much even then. I have to cut it about 20% with unflavored to suite me but, then it is a nice, if unusual citrus flavor with a lot of other hints of flavors in there. It goes well with drinking Absinthe, if you like absinthe to begin with.
