ooo idea,

use a bead cap\bell cap with the loop as the end cap for the e-cig (straight over the ash cap or with a crystal replacement for the filigree ones), connect a jump ring to the loop, and then you can connect it to any chain or necklace that has a lobster clasp as a pendant (an easy addition). Bonus pretty-ing connect a bead or small charm to the jump ring. Definitely not gonna be mistaken for a real cig then lol.

note: non-loop bead caps can have a loop added by using a headpin. simply slide the cap onto the pin so the flat head is on the inside, then use needle nose pliers (or jewelers wire-bending- pliers) to curve the post of the headpin into a loop close to the cap, clip off the excess with wirecutters. If using this method you don't really need the added jumpring as the headpin rotates freely, just make sure you bend the loop large enough to fit your lobster clasp.

The prong settings for the bedazzle gems should be able to fit swarovskis too, I just like them cause they come in more colors and cool effects than the bedazzeler gems lol. here is a site that sells them for swarovski crystals http://www.rhinestoneguy.com/mountings.htm scroll down to Rim Sets, however not in a small enough size for a 901, actually I've yet to find any of the rim settings in a small enough size for my 901 (9mm).

Durant, Ok
I would love to figure out a way to mod the LED on mine to look like this ...
Picture%201.png

But with having a 901 I am afraid it would cut the airflow. I looked over in the mod'ers forum, but I didn't see anything like it. :(

I want one for my 510!!! Most of the cosmetic mods are too girly for me.. that just looks spiffy! (especially if it were clear and only lit blue with the blue led) .. wonder if I could get one and have the patience to carve the gem to the same size as the ash cap

That's actually what we've been discussing. If you use a ss40 rim set with an 8mm flat backed crystal (bedazzler swarovski whatever, no foil-lined backs though) it should fit. (I measured) Get some jewlers glue like loc-tite though to keep everything in place. Don't glue the setting in though until you've got the placement right for airflow.

I just ordered the settings, and cats eye fiber-optic cabochon gems to tip mine with as well as matching beads and eyeglass holders to make holders with.

Can you post a pic of this so I can "see" what you're talking about?:D

I'll be practicing on my 4081 batts, they're the same circumference as the 901's, and they don't work worth sh!+, it'll just be picture tutorial though as I don't have a web/vid cam.

I have the swarovski crystals and I have the rondelles with different colored crystals in them. It's that little piece between the battery and the rondelle that I'm not sure about.

I didn't get rondells for mine, couldn't find a matching size in a color I wanted lol. By the little piece do you mean that metal rim in the picture? cause if so it's called a rim set (setting). They can be purchased as bedazzeler refils, but I couldn't find the right size that way so I ordered them from this site

https://www.dreamtimecreations.com/product/index.cfm/nid/90

I just got the standard rim sets, not the heavy duty, granted they only offered the size I needed as a gross(144pcs) but at least it was still pretty cheap lol. I got the black BTW, since with the exception of one pink auto batt all my batts are black and it's the stones I want to emphasize.

I got this really cool hook clasp though; it's a dragonfly and it's tail forms a hook, there is a loop on the wings on each side so I'm going to try attacking eyeglass holder loops to the dragonfly to see if I can turn it into a pv holder. The dragonfly has a matching pendant side to hook to.

That is sooooooo neat!!!! A Rim Set! I'm so going shopping this weekend. Do you think super glue would hold the crystal and rim set after I remove the little plastic "ash"?

Nooo please don't try super glue lol, I've tried that with when making jewelery before, it's messy, the jewelers glue has a very precise tip, you really just need a dot of it to hold the gem in the setting. The most common brand of the glue is called loctite 409, but you can also use G-S hypocement. both are intended for precision work and bond pretty much instantly. (there is a new one called pascofix but I've never used it so I can't really tell you whether or not it's good to work with. My worry with the super glue would be that it can be runny and it could get on the led circuit board, a jewelers glue shouldn't have that problem.

Related side note: to hold 3-d nail stickers in place w/o the need for topcoat you can apply them with a bit of jewelers glue.

loctite, rim set, crystal....got it. Now add fishing tackle box to my shopping list! Who said you save money vaping! LOL

I've already spent more than I would have on a year of smoking:oops::oops::oops::oops::oops::oops: however I have enough supplies now to last me about that long, though if I get unlucky with attys I might have to buy more of those, I will only have about 8 or so. I also plan on making my e-cig holder do dual duty for reading glasses (at least till I stop being too embarrassed to get bi-focals lol, my eye doctor wanted me to get them about 5 years ago)
