So Im sitting here watching tv and my sigelei mod just starts firing super hot, like the whole tank was glowing red until it cut itself off, wasnt being touched at all, any ideas as to why that happened?

I immediately took the tank off and it stopped, then about 15 minutes later I tried putting another tank on, and as soon as it made contact with the pin it started firing again without the fire button being depressed. The screens not even on as if its being pressed. Ideas? Advice?

I can't DIAGNOSE the .problem exactly if that's what you are looking for, but as far as advice, since it's out of warranty if it was dearly beloved well, put it somewhere you can admire it from a distance and without batteries in it.

Either that, or be prepared to try and fix it, although personally I could have infinity "preparedness" and still not be prepared for that task. If you have a really awesome vape shop with an electronics expert in hiding there (I am lucky enough to have such a situation, actually) well, take it there and beg said electronics person to help and she/he may take it as a personal challenge.

You could also put it in your "dead electronics pile" if you have one (we do, and I am informed that it is growing large enough to someday, if we are lucky, be of use in retirement when we sell it off for scrap) or this could be your FIRST electronic scrap project.

An art instillation is a possibility, I guess, if you like that type of art.

Above all, do not vape it any more, you have successfully diagnosed it as the mod, not the tank, so unless it can be fixed, well do whatever would make you happiest safely, or at least, less sad/annoyed.

RIP.

A repair/fix may be possible depending on your skill level. The issue is even if you can repair it, can you trust it not to auto-fire again when you are not there to rescue the situation and the possible consequences of that.

I advise replacement. House fires cost more than new mods.

Thanks for the input guys... yeah i haven't touched it since, was just wondering if i was being overly paranoid. I had another mod do that after i went swimming with it unknowingly, but it didn't flare up and fire uncontrolled like this one, it just fired normally. It was so hot it not only burned up my build deck, it had melted both claptons i had on it. Like melted the steel
