Hello,
Thinking about getting my first mod and seeking some info from more experienced vapers.
Can't really afford a Provari right now so primarily considering the Evic, Vamo and SVD.
Right now I'm leaning more towards the SVD mostly based on reviews and price vs built quality.
Questions:
1) I'd like to really understand the advantages of such a mod.
My understanding is that with any of those devices, I'll have the ability to go higher in voltage / wattage. Here's where I'm a bit confused. With my Ego twist, I can increase the voltage, ie giving me more vapor, HOWEVER, by doing so, the taste becomes nasty (aka burnt). So the problem the way I see it is not being able to heat the coil to a higher temperature but being able to wick the liquid much faster. This should be more important than the type of device used, no??
I though that people used mods only with RBAs and RDAs for this reason, to be able to control the wicking so they can increase the voltage, hence getting more vapor. However, it seems like a lot of people use these mods with standard cartos, clearos like protanks, iClears, cartotanks ... So my question is if using a Protank for example, what is the advantage of using a mod vs my Ego twist? why will a mod give me a better vape when using the same dispensing device?
2) What RBA/rda would you recommend to a noob that has never built a coil? It seems like the IGO-T for rda and AGA-T for RBA are very popular. Are they the easiest to work with?
3) are each RBA/RDA dedicated to be used with only a certain type of wicking material? For example, it seems like the AGA-T is meant for SS mesh. Also, what's you take on the SS mesh, I read some articles to say oxidize, other don't oxidize, others cover the ss mesh with cotton, others cover the ss mesh with silica... I'm going crazy just reading about it.
4) for those that have tried 2 or 3 of the devices mentioned, which one do you prefer and why?
Thanks for the help.
