exactly uzza... easier is better... for an old guy set in his ways if it's not easy he'll just go back to "what's the point" attitude

Now you gotta figure out flavor. If he likes newports a good menthol is easy enough to find. If he likes regular cigs, good luck nailing down flavor! Try peach, everybody likes peach and the flavor is strong enough to taste like it says it will.

If you are going V4L I'd say peach and cuban cigar cartos are your best hopes. Neither is my very favorite but that's what I'd recommend for someone trying to make the switch unless the liked menthol. Peach tastes like you'd expect it too and isn't weak or off like some of the other fruit flavors. And cuban cigar is a stronger tobacco flavor with a hint of sweetness to it where some of the others taste like grass or nuts or perfume or variations of such.

If you're think the KR808D-1 cartomizer what about just the XL batteries? That's 380mah, quite a few hours of use there and cigarette sized if a bit long. The V4L french pipe is another nice tasting tobacco with a smooth creamy finish, like butter or custard.

I think you have the right idea, go with cartomizers. If you want to go to the trouble for him you can refill them for him. Have him toss all the empties into a cup/bag/whatever and once a month collect them. Do the boil thing and refill. Since he's either tech-phobic or just doesn't want to bother doubt you'll get him to refill himself.

The eG0 now has a XL 900mah battery vs. the standard 650mah. That's about 30% more life for a couple of bucks more. There's the Hello 016 which is 1300mah but its not an exact match to the eGo. Or the Riva which is an exact match clone at 750mah and cheaper than an eGo setup.

With all of those you're talking a 510 cartomizer.

OK, IF we're going with carto's here, I'd suggest the following...get an Ego, he's NOT going to want to muck about with batteries...buy the 510 carto's...empty. Go to Tasty Vapor and order him some WONDERFUL tasting liquids and, if you CAN, fill them for him.

I'm not alone when it comes to a LOT of the V4L cartos flavor..NOT pleasant.

It's hard to not have a lot of flavors people don't like when they carry about a billion flavors. I've tried at least a hundred flavors from all over the place including most of the most highly recommended suppliers. Some stuff, if you like it, just can't be beat - like TV's unique Tobacco and Atomic Cinnacide or Halo's Freedom and Smooth-8 or Johnson Creek's unique undertone in whichever flavor you choose to experience it with. But at the end of the day, it turned out that HALF of my 10 favorite flavors were from V4L. That's a pretty good ratio.

And I've never heard anyone recommend 510 cartos over Premium or Turbo KR cartos that wasn't desperately trying to stick to a 510 thread instead of buying a $2 adapter.

I'm with you on the idea that he'd likely appreciate longer battery life - if he wouldn't care about the more cig-like feel of a standard type battery - in which case, KR batteries have been far superior to 510 batteries, unless something has changed since I went to mods - even for use with 510's.

Try some with an Ego. IMHO, JUST as good as the others.

But, keep in mind that I'M not a carto fan. I DID like the Turbo's from Vapornine though when I thought I didn't have a choice using my GG.

As for your kicking comments...well...um...ME TOO!!! (Wow, that was scary. At least, I scared MYSELF...howse bout you?)

OP, you'll find lots of differing opinions on ECF, but that's all part of the fun..
