Hello. I'd like some suggestions for mods. I've tried vaping back when the 510 were taking off but after a week, I gave up. Too much fiddling with those atomizers, too many dry hits, getting e juice everywhere... it stressed me out and made me crave analogs more than ever.

I jumped back in when the tanks systems first started taking off...for a day. I had the same issues (except I no longer had to deal with pieces of fiber fillings). Fast forward to a few days ago. I picked up my old eGo-T batteries and found a brick and mortar store where I got a vivi nova, a bcc mega vape (the only bottom wicker they had at the store), a few disposable clearomizers, 10 cartomizers, a tank, and a collar. It's SO much easier and I can throw in some juice into any of these and last me all day (as long as I have at least 2 on me).

Then I decided I want more voltage, more flavor and more vapor. So I started to look into mods and quickly got discouraged. SO MANY MODS! INFORMATION OVERLOAD! If I could get some suggestions that point me towards some of the more popular mods, that would be awesome. I want a mod that works with all the tanks/clearomizers/atomizer I currently own, something that has variable voltage so I can find "the sweet spot" for my juices, something that'll last me all day with almost constant vaping, and something that won't totally break the bank.

Oh and random question, anyone ever think their juices taste salty? I don't know why but whenever I take a drag (big or small), while it's in my mouth before I inhale, it tastes kinda salty. :blink: Doesn't matter which flavor... All my juices are US made and from different vendors... Also while the strange salty taste appeared, the flavors of my juices seemed to have dulled a lot. Is this normal after quitting analogs? ^^;;

the VAMO is very reasonably priced to get into VV/VW. You can use 18350 or 18650 batteries depending on how big of a device you are comfortable with....plus you could knock some one out if they tried to mug you since it's got some weight to it! if it sounds interesting to you then check out that section of the forum here VAMO

What price range are you talking about? Set an absolute limit for us, and keep in mind a mod is going to require at least two batteries and a charger for them.

How long between battery changes are you expecting? Battery size can affect the overall size of the mod.

Do you prefer a tube shape or a box mod shape?

Do you have size limitations? Can a mod be too big or heavy, even if it has everything else in your criteria?

I'm assuming you want a mod that uses replaceable, rechargeable batteries, correct?

Does the mod have to be a color, or would a black or silver color be acceptable?

The above Gripper style box mods are lightweight, comfortable to hold, and are the size of a pack of cigarettes. Both are $30. Both will last all day on their battery configuration. Both have voltage and resistance meters. Both have variable voltage from 3.0 to 6.0 volts. Both can use any juice delivery device.

My range would be $100-$170 max including batteries and charger. I'd LOVE it if a mod could go for a couple days without charging but I don't mind charging it at night right before going to bed along with my laptop, cell phone and ipad. I haven't tried any box mods, but I've always thought they look uncomfortable to hold so I'd probably prefer a tube shape. Size does not matter (yeah i said it. ^_^) I carry a huge purse or a back pack or a laptop bag with me at all times (my safety blankets) so it can be as small as a mini ego or as big as a 32 oz cup.

I'd prefer red but I've noticed not too many stock (err...typical???) starter ecigs have red batteries... I don't know how it goes with mods but I don't want color to limit my choice, esp since if anything I can go with something black or dark grey and add a red drip tip :)

and yes, replaceable, rechargeable batteries would be best. I don't like that the eGo's have to be dumped off and I have to spend another $20-30 on each one. I believe mods have cheaper battery alternatives that last longer no?

Yes, the replaceable, rechargeable batteries last at least a year, and are less than $10 each. Chargers run from $15-40.

Your price range actually could include a slightly blemished, new Provari, that includes a 1 year warranty. Colors are available, but no red. Silver, black, pink, white, blue, and purple. This is a very high-end variable voltage mod that has an ohm reader and voltage meter built in. The best feature of the Provari in my opinion is even after the warranty has expired, the manufacturer will still continue to service it. No Chinese manufactured mods can claim that service. Once they break, they're a throwaway. I have several ECF friends who have recently bought one of these blemished Provari's and they can not find any cosmetic defect on theirs. They have these in clearance starting at $140. Clearance

I have the two gripper mods pictured above. I've actually grown quite fond of them for out-and-about use, they are extremely comfortable, stealthy when need be, and very light, easy to put in a pocket or purse.

The inner electronics of both the standard and Mini are exactly the same, they only differ in the size battery they use. Both the standard and Mini have extension caps available to use two options in batteries.

The difference in version 2.0 and 2.5 are purely cosmetic, with different milled lines in the bodies.

It's a rebuildable atomizer, or RBA. An advanced juice delivery device where you have to wrap your own stainless steel wicks and wrap your own wire coils. Not really for beginning vapors.

By the way, these aren't my personal Provari's. All the pics are downloaded from Google Images. Although I do have a blue Provari with the chrome end cap like in the above pic.

If interested in the Provari's in clearance, they do tend to disappear quickly. These are great deals.
