Mod?

Where did this "term" come from? I can see a "mod" being a device that someone has modified or built themself. How did every device besides an eGo device become a "mod"?

Seems silly to me really.

PV (personal vaporizer) or APV (advanced personal vaporizer) makes a lot more since.

Mods were originally just that, modified stuff like modified flashlights. A different name for the professionally made versions might be in order. And, the newer term, APV, has been around for about 6 months. Or, has it been a year already?

But, I personally don't like that term either because it's even less accurate than mod. A battery casing is not a vaporizer, personal, advanced, or otherwise. The vaporizer is the coil.

How about APS (Advanced Power Source/Supply) or APC (Advanced Power Control/Controller) or ABC (Advanced Battery Casing) or RBC (Repleacable Battery Contol/Container)? Or just call them what they've always been called, Battery Mods? (There used to be battery mods, cartridge mods, etc.) They're modifications from the original cigarette/cigar form factor and from the original non-replaceable e-cigarette battery.

I really don't like any of the names. The closest (although not perfect) is Battery Mod (BM?!).
