Modding a fried VTR

So I have a VTR w/ a fried chip, and I want to make it my first badass vv/vw build. Was thinking of trying to fit a dna30 or some other high power chip in it. I unfortunately don't know much about them. Wich chip do you think would fit easiest considering I want to leave the display where it is and I have no need to keep the wheel working (probably have to use tactile switches?)

I agree! SX350 would be the perfect choice for that screen size, plus there's less holes needed for buttons when using the SX350.

So I just googled this sx350, wow guys! Upgradable to 50 watts?! Looks like it will take alot of dremmel time but I have no doubt I can make it fit. It's exactly what I was looking for

Cool! I've got a VTR that I bored with... I'd love to see what your finished product looks like. That SX350 chip is a pretty versatile chip. Regulated down to 1.5v and bump/boost circuitry. Best of both worlds!

Not yet, probably still a couple months til I do. I don't even own a dremmel yet lol
