"This has been done before, and funny/interestingly enough, one that did it as far back as May 2008 was..."

Wow!!! Before RCA adapters were invented even....

sorry....couldn't resist :)

I have to side with Pete on this one as my JStick has the atty in house and while I do feel the warmth, I've not considered it a 'danger'.

I have read about leakage issue with the JStick but have not had those issues myself though I am not a direct dripper.

No one mentioned dangers, I just said it might melt the plastic casing, but that would depend on how much you vape.
The juice issue will eventually be a big deal for sure.

Side with Pete?, so who is on the other side?
You need to stop making ridiculous comments if you don't understand what you read.

Hey Pete,

Mine's only 1" dia and 3 3/4" tall....I can palm it easy.

Hey vaporer I luv it..that has to be just about the smallest most discreet vaporizerer possible, which is certainly what I have been wanting for public vaping but at the same time I didn't want to give up the low cost, the availability and the long battery life I have been finding with the 2000 mah AA Ni mah rechargeable batteries that I have been using with my soldering Iron mod.
The batteries you are using look about the same size as my mini pipe batteries which were brilliant when they were new and with the way I vape just a couple of batteries would have lasted me all day but once they had been charged and drained just a few times, they no longer seemed to chuck out the fully charged kind of power for much more than about 20 mins of use and they had cost me £7 each! That's pretty much the only reason I gave up with that kind of battery. The AA batteries seem to hold up great and keep on delivering the power for an easy full day of heavy vaping even after quite a few charges.
Batteries seem to loose their storage capacity quite quickly with the kind of use we give them with vaping.

Sorry, I personally consider melting plastic in my hand a danger. I will try and be less subjective in the future.

Ok, so far I have managed to get a few of the 'uncovered' four AA battery boxes to play around with and have made a couple of rough prototypes, one using all four batteries with the atty fixed to the side and the other one using just three batteries and the atty fitted into the fourth batteries position.

I relaxed vaping with the four battery version watching tv last night and it felt far more normal than vaping with my soldering Iron mod...lol.

When I get some covered battery boxes I think the 3 battery version is the one I will make for carrying around with me and will be quite neat. The great thing about these mods is that they are very small but have fantastic battery life with batteries you can get anywhere and they can be made for almost nothing.

This could end up being a great mod Pete, I'm more for the 4 battery since 3 would work ok, but wouldn't with rechargeables.

Good work so far. :)

Hi warp....Actually the three battery version doesn't vape too bad, fully charged they make 4.26 volts and still give an easy full day of vaping but I have to admit I prefer that bit of extra vapour from the 5.68 volts that four batteries give, unfortunately it's going to be hard to make it look neat with the atty fixed to the side.

I have been playing with some of that Polymorph and it's real fun stuff.......perhaps I could mould something with it that won't look too bad.

Well I have been using the 'four' battery version, with the atty on the side, for the best part of a week now while I wait for some covered battery boxes to arrive and have decided the four battery version is the one I will stick with, it still hides in my hand nicely and is small enough to carry around very easily. The lower voltage three battery version is good but just not good enough once you have been used to having the power of four batteries. It's a pity I had to get myself 'into' e-cigs before I realised just how easily and cheaply you can make one for yourself.

If you find a 'four-square' enclosed box, please let me know where.

Hi mnealtx.....unfortunately I haven't been able to find any four battery square enclosed boxes but I am waiting for some 2 battery enclosed boxes, which I will simply glue back to back and should be just as good.
