Effective 01/21, all P10, P16 and P18 models have undergone minor revisions as follows. These
revisions are on all units that have shipped or are shipping since that date.

P10: Overall unit length shortened approximately 2mm. P10 accepts either IMR or AW 10440 batteries.

P16: Overall unit length shortened approximately 2mm.

P18/P16: Tube thread depth for bottom cap shortened to avoid any "catching" of button spring on threads for the smoothest button action yet!

Note: All top and bottom caps remain unchanged. The P10 and P16 were shortened by removing length from the bodies only, not the top and bottom caps.

Enjoy!

This just in...

P-16340.jpg

Only problem is even w/o any washers, it fires when the button is flush with the cap.

Looks so sweet! I can't put it down, gonna have to lower my nicotine levels I'm vaping so much.

One more thing, the threads on the C-E2 cartomizers (MAP Tank) are evidently a bit off. I had to wedge a piece of a paper clip in the atty connector in order for it to make contact. Normal 510 atomizers fit perfectly.

Looks good Xenetic! What brand batteries are using? I set them up with a ICR AW 16340 when i send them out and with one washer underneath the brass switch contact post and it fires just below the horns. If you remove the one pre-installed washer, it should fire quite a bit below the horns (with an AW16340 that is). If you want, i can machine your contact screw shorter if you want it to activate deeper into the protective horns, no problem and no charge.

I'm using Trustfire (the ones with flames on them) 16340. With the thick rubber o-ring and washer that came in it, it wouldn't even completely close. With no o-ring or washer it fires right at flush. I could probably file it down but I'm not sure I want to risk messing anything up. The spring itself has enough tension right now to keep it from firing while standing up right. I would love to get you to fix it but I'm too in love with it at the moment to let it go.

Only thing I have to worry about now is it firing in my pocket. What would you charge for a center contact pin? I can measure this one with my caliper if needed.

Yep, fires in my pocket...

Ultrafires/trustfires brand batteries can be 1mm to 2mm longer than an AW 16340/123 which will throw your switch throw off and may not allow you to tighten the cap all the way down due to their added length. Also, the quality control on trustfires and ultrafires of the same model can vary from batch to batch and distributor to distributor by as much as 2mm. You won't see those quality control problems with the AW, they are very consistent and are the only battery i personally endorse and recommend for the Precise.

The P16's dimensions (and subsequent set up of the switch throw prior to me shipping them) are sized around the AW brand IMR and ICR Protected 123/16340 battery, so if you are using the trustfires, you may run into problems. When it's time for some new batteries, definitely get the AW's, they last at longer too, some even see their vape times double with the AW's. But for the short term, i do sell brass contacts for 3.99 and can machine one down for you to work with your trustfires or i can machine down your existing post, no charge. Let me know.

If you haven't tried the Trustfire "Flame" batteries, give them a shot. I find as far as battery life, they are pretty close to the AW's. I too prefer the AW's from a quality perspective, but the flame batteries won with price : performance. I think I will fire up the ole grinder and file the contact down a bit. If I go too far, it is good to know you sell the contacts, I'll just order a new one and grab some AW's while I'm at it. You have really competitive prices on your AW's too. As for now... it's time to go show off your wonderful precision.

By the way, are you caught up on orders? I have a feeling that when I go to work Monday and show the folks I converted to vaping my new toy, you may get a few more orders.
