Yep it amazes me how we are "catagoried" by our appearance. I keep a stack of ECF cards in my purse.
got pulled over the other day using a boxmod. he asked me if i was talking on my cell phone, which led to a 10 minute discussion on e-cigs (which i don't think he truly believed).
Very true... I used to get pulled over for smoking a cigar or for "failing to use turn signal while changing lanes" (Despite DEFINITELY using the signal...) and ever since I've cut my hair and removed various bumper stickers (namely political in nature) I haven't been pulled over during the day time since. (Now 2-4AM on highways through the countryside is a different story...)

Yeah using something strange looking, especially some wooden box which looks like it's some hippie's stash holder, may get you more attention but you should be able to explain your way out of any actual trouble. Provided you don't just get the "wrong cop" but in that case nothing really matters except not having anything actually illegal on you.

My Infinity sits in "flower vase" of my VW bug, perfect in arms reach. I usually have the top down (not mine, the convertible top), I've had a few cops do a second look while I'm vaping at a light, but never have I been stopped by them. I think they figure that someone would have to be kind of stupid to be doing something "illegal" in a convertible with a cop next to them.
Some of the things I've seen people doing! granted I'm not an officer but there is a lot of oblivious people driving around!
Hell around here I've seen police so wound up in their video game (they all have pc mounted in the car) they scare other drivers!
I've called dispach but the funny thing is I see texting and driving in one car and the patrol officer in the car in front typing on his pc?

I have had a 2" SYF sticker (OP's avi) on my cars for the last 15 years, ever since I went corporate. I call them my Corporate Dead stickers.
Last month I was working in a small town. As I was crossing the street and vaping, I looked up and saw a cop coming my way. As we passed , we gave each other a nod and kept going.
Last year we were at the movies and I was vaping a 808. I was pulled out of the theater and the guy asked if I had an E-cig and was it to quit smoking. I told him it was and he said cool you can use it in the theater

Back in the early 80s Mickey Hart had a Porsche 911 painted flat black with an SYF smack dab in the middle of the rear hatch engine cover... Talk about crossing cultures!
I'm a trucker in California, I have never been pulled over, or stopped because of my vaping, the only thing I can say is if you are vaping while driving don't put your pv down keep it up, well it would look like you're taking a hit from a pipe, then officers will think that you are smoking ........., so just hold it like you would a normal cigarette, and you will have no problems at all.
I get pulled over for DWLH (Driving While Long-Haired) still, I just cannot get the hair cut and give in to the societal norms -- I make sure to always signal, stop, and never excessively speed but if a light bulb goes out, the sirens start!!!
So of course I drop my PV (I get a lot of 'Nice Pipe' from the kids, GGs are sorta noticable) when encountering the small-town law enforcement community out here on the plains........
I did have to explain one once, I don't relish doing it again, no matter how nice and polite you are, preconceived notions are a b..........

I hear ya on the DWLH Ripple. My hubby finally gave in the the "norm" because he is job hunting in corp. America
His hair was down the middle of his back. I have to say that we must have been an amusing sight when his hair was long and mine was clippered at 2inches and dyed hot pink 
I keep one of those little cards that explain pv's and vaping in the sun visor just in case

Man my last post hand bad grammer, what I ment was when you are vaping inside your car DONT put your pv down after taking a vape, because when you blow the vapor out and someone sees you but doesn't see the device you inhaled it from they will think you were smoking Mari.ju.Ana. even thou I don't have anything against Mari.ju.Ana.
